Just out of interest would this thread not be better suited for the LP Magazine section. |

| SoThisIsLove Tue 5/13/2008 9:33a | From the article:
<<KO: The whole show is meant to look like it was made by kids. I didn't know that until I worked on this attraction. The look is that of children's craft materials like construction paper and glitter. It uses simple shapes.>>
I didn't know that, either!
It was a fascinating article and I will definitely be subscribing to Tales now. Thanks for including the excerpt.
Having only gone to DL, I didn't know much about Florida (eye-level) and Paris (twin towers still standing). I found it all quite absorbing. Good job!

The expanded version will be in Issue 12 which goes to print shortly.

| SoThisIsLove Tue 5/13/2008 10:20a | Well, Lee, I'm so prone to print submit before my brain finally disengages, so please let me add this as well:
LOVED the graphics (those little ball things hitting each other...not sure your team is responsible for that) and I was delighted by the article's name, too!
How clever! Looking forward to sampling your magazine. xoxo |

Yup - our creative director Lindsay Cave came up with the design.
It is actually a fun story - He actually came up with it last year but we decided to hold back the article an issue or two. It is based on Newton's Cradle which is one of those executive toys - it is usually metallic balls that are suspended from a frame and you pick the end one up and drop it onto the others and watch the consequences.
The irony is that the ball that is in the air represents HKDL and is about to be launched into the others - which now aptly captures what is happening to DL's iasw with the introduction of the Disney characters. Clever, huh? :-)
Lindsay has been our creative director since the first issue and the look of the magazine (both photography and graphic design) is entirely down to him. He is very talented. |

The Magazine is always full of content like the Small World interview in every issue. Its an excellent publication and reason why I'm proud to be a subscriber since day one.
