Since the park is open longer, how crowded are most fridays in May? I want to go this coming Friday, May 16th.

Fridays can be very crowded, especially in the afternoon, especially if they are open later. It means they expect large crowds (though not as bad as sat or sunday. We find the best days are Tues, Thursday and Monday in that order. Wednesday is typically worse than Fridays. Hope that helps. Have fun. Worse lines are for Big Thunder (DLP must do - better than US versions by far), Peter Pan, almost identical to dL's except seats 4, and Crush Coaster. Dependent on taste, hit those 1st. Be there at least 30 min b4 opening.

Out of curiosity, why do you imagine Wednesdays are so busy?

Interestingly, at TDL I've often found that Mondays are nearly as busy as the weekends for some reason. After that, it all builds up towards Saturday (thus Tuesday Wednesday seem to be generally the best days to visit the park regardless of season or event, but obviously just as a rule of thumb and nothing more).

So long as we're chatting up Paris and which lines are heavy, is Space Mountain busy, or not really? Any other attractions seem to incur heavier crowds than you'd expect? For TDL I've always found that the Jungle Cruise (daytime only for some reason), Starjets (no idea why!?), and Roger Rabbit always seem to be overly busy...

A lot of French schools are closed on Wednesdays so it's an ideal day for the locals to play.

For me Peter Pan and Autopia always seem to have queues that aren't necessarily in line with the actual attraction. Other than that it's just the usual (coasters, Dumbo).

Space Mountain can be very busy, but I've never waited as long for it as I have for BTM. Buzz is also generally busy, but it's the newest thing in the park still!!!

Thanks, UKFan...makes much more sense now!

As for Peter Pan, Autopia, Starjets, etc...I can (as a parent) NOW understand why the lines are so stupid long.

I never understood it before, but now I do.

I now have a little gorgeous rugrat who would LIKE NOTHING BETTER than to get onboard one of those. Starjets was like a beacon to her, and the cars were her biggest regret (we skipped them) when she pours over her Disneyland Tokyo map. ;)

She rode Space Mountain. She rode Thunder Mountain. Star Tours. Splash Mountain. Jungle Cruise. Pirates. Pooh (tokyo version)...BUT, she only had eyes for Starjets and the Cars ride.

Finally, I understand. :)

How well does the Buzz ride fit into the Discoveryland theme anyway? I'm curious about that one (and sad that's the last ride they've added!).

Not very well to be honest. It's ok, but certainly not great. Actually, it's pretty terrible. I have lie to myself and say that even retro-futuristic explorers like to enjoy themselves between expeditions and that Buzz is how they do it.

Lame!!!

I actually think that Buzz should have gone to WDSP (we could have been extras in a new movie) and that the new Stitch attraction at WDSP would have been a better fit with a little bit of extra theming!!!

Totally agree with ukfan's assment. The one key benefit is Mike and Jess love to run between Star Tours, Autopia, Buzz and Orbitron. Discoveryland is their fav. I miss Le Visionarium on the otherhand. I am one of 10 people maybe.

X - Buzz is only a couple of years old, plus we have had 4 new attractions in WDSP and new parades and shows. COnsidering DLP has been running at a deficit for 16 years, that's amazing.

FYI Dave, Star Tours is now operating a height restriction. DN(3) was too short to ride in April.

Jess might be disappointed next time!!!
