Bummer. Dl and WDW had restrictions, but it used to be age based at DLP (for Y years). A real shame

Dave, I LOVED Visionarium as well. A very classy attraction that set the tone for Discoveryland.

I was enough of a douche not to read the calendar properly and it closed at 7 pm.. when I went yesterday! Thanks so much for all your help (uk fan and everyone else), I finally went do DLP and had a blast with my friends! My main impression was that DLP pays a lot of attention to detail. I was disappointed that BTMR was closed yesterday due to technical difficulties, and I did NOT enjoy Space Mountain, and Indy was kinda lame... I guess I have high expectations! But I loved the park as a whole and it was more than worthwhile. =)

What didn't you like about Space Mountain?

Probably because it feels like you have gone several rounds in a heavy weight championship after racing nascar over rumble strips.

I don't ride it for just that reason Dave, my neck won't stand up to the stress, and I can get away with riding most of the coasters..

Space Mountain, as much as I love it, is just too plain rough.

It's the kind of attraction that can cause health problems and not exacerbate existing ones.

It really needs to be worked on, even if it means rebuilding the track.

It isn't surprising that it's been ignored by Karl, however, as that's just the kind of manager he is. All one has to do is look at the state of the Treehouse and the dangers it presents to guests to understand that guest safety hasn't been one of Karl's major concerns.

Wow.

What a bunch of wussies. :p

I come from the day when coasters were SUPPOSED to be rough. The old whiplasher at Paragon Park in New England would leave you as battered as Mike Tysons girlfriend, likely complete with a bloody ear (or two)!

Now I REALLY wanna ride it. :D

X - Space Mountain was really the crowning jewel of Disney's mountain range world wide. But the roughness, the killing of the style, theme and music, it is virtually a walk on these days.

A real shame. In it's hey day, I would be known to litterly keep getting in line and riding for an hour. I think my record was 23 trips in a row. But these days, once a trip is enough.

Dave, please tell that to the people who waited 60 minutes for Space Mountain yesterday...

(Though I kinda agree with your other points... haven't done Space for years for exactly the reasons you've listed...)
