Topic: Armed Forces Parade - Sat May 17th

1	999HAUNTS Wed 5/14/2008 8:44a	Hello everyone... It looks like yours truly has been invited to carry a flag at the beginning of this Saturday's Armed Forces Parade in Torrance. I'm not sure which flag I'll be assigned to, but it will either be the good old American Flag, the California flag, or the MIA flag. My family is very active in the Torrance American Legion and Torrance VFW clubs. The American Legion is who we will be carrying the flags for. Although I am an "ARMY" gal - this year is all about the United States Marines. They will be this year's featured branch of the military. If anyone is in the area - come by and take a gander - maybe even snap a few photos for me as it will be very difficult for me to take pictures of myself LOL! http://www.ci.torrance.ca.us/14773.htm

3	999HAUNTS Wed 5/14/2008 9:18a	That's correct. But they start closing down the streets earlier than that. If you remember where I had my casino party at the Legion, you can park there a few hours earlier and have some drinks with us!

8	999HAUNTS Mon 5/19/2008 10:55p	My aunt carried the US flag, my cousin-in-law carried the POW / MIA flag, and I was honored to carry the American Legion colours flag. I will post some pictures soon!
