Personally I find BatB at DHS to be a sad carnival cruiseship type show, very poor. And TLM, besides finding the film overrated, offers an ice capade quality. Not my cup of tea.

Actually backpaintsm, he lives in UK, short 3 or 4 hour drive to DLP, so you can buy what you want. the fact that you are acting like a fool to well respected members here does not bode well for your future on these message boards.

>>>So put the inferiority complex away.<<<

<<An expectation of excellence in my home resort is only human nature. When I feel we here in So. Cal are getting less than excellence from Disney, I discuss it. It's not an inferiority complex, it's fighting for equal creativity and effort on the part of Disney. Anything less than that is, well, Disney's California Adventure. So blow it out your ear - your arrogance is betrayed when you debate the merits of your fellow debaters rather than their arguments alone. Don't be a holier than thou fathead. People here don't stand for that sort of BS. Just debate the issues themselves and stop with the snide remarks.>>

FWIW, I'm sorry for the way that came out. When dealing with a troll on a thread I may be less than my usual plesant self.

That said, I do feel many DLers have an inferiority complex to WDW and seem to have a very mistaken belief that Florida gets the best versions of attractions.

One only needs to visit the MK -- what someone very perceptive termed 'a mass market characture of DL' -- to see that just isn't the case. I can think of two attractions that are better in the MK now -- Mansion and BTMRR. And it's not like they blow away DL's versions either.

I certainly understand and respect your point about wanting better for Anaheim ... and for not enjoying all the film-based attractions that were tossed into DCA. We're quite like-minded on that subject.

I just enjoy DCA and always have, really. I just wish it had been what it could have been from the start. And I don't understand why people choose to actively hate (and that is the correct term) a theme park like some here do.

I'll repeat what I've said for years and remains no less truer now: DCA saved DL.

If not for that heroin monkey, Disney would have either had to station armed guards around the perimeter or close and move the park (which was talked about, believe it or not). The resort expansion guaranteed that DL would remain in the old orange grove that Walt planted it in. Some of the DCA haters can't wrap their minds around this, saying its the success of DD and the Grand that spurred all else ... or that Westcot would have done the same. But those aren't solid arguments because wihout DCA there would be no DD, no Grand ... and no one knows what would have happened with Westcot because it never existed.

<<WHy does person keep on calling me a female? It's hilarious how they made all these claims, then realized how stupid they sounded and is now feigning sarcasm...>>

The same reason why said troll does likewise with me.

It'll get bored and move along in short order. They all do.

<<I think it's all part of the hilarious 'troll' job description - make the most outlandish claims possible and fight like you really believe them. Eg, "The Little Mermaid is better than Aladdin!" and "William is a GIRL!" I, personally, wonder how these people have so much time on their hands but that's just me ... >>

Likely a combo of government checks and living in Mommy and Daddy's basement, Belle ...

<When I read this, it is quite obvious this reader has not been on TOT Fla. They never once pointed out the significant difference of TOT Fla to DCA (now they will pretend to). The Fla version is so far superior to DCA's version, there is no comparison. >

I happen to know dave has been on Fla's TOT, and so have I. Like him, I prefer DCA's. It's called a difference of opinion.

I'll tell you why. I don't like the 5D room at WDW. It's clunky, the effects are pretty lame, and worst of all, it ruins the flow. Not so much the room itself, but the fact that you have to slot into a different elevator shaft.

Because of this, one is painfully aware that they are checking your positioning for safety reasons. (chunk, chunk). Then they check you again. Then they check you again.

Of course, they have to. I'm glad they do for safety reasons, but it just disrupts the flow entirely and takes me out of the experience.

At DCA (and Tokyo and Paris), once you start moving, it's off to the races. It flows perfectly, with no awkward safety checks. Nothing but show. And it flows so well, it's a much giddier experience at DCA/Paris/Tokyo. So even though it's shorter, I like it better.

I do like the grounds better at WDW. And I like getting off at a different place than I got on. But those are minor trade-offs to me compared to the actual ride experience. I don't mind crossing the little hallway to enter the elevator at DCA (which bothers some people), because you can't totally suspend disbelief to believe this is any sort of real elevator anyway - you've just spent x-minutes in line hearing other people talking about their regular lives, and are now clearly entering a theme park ride vehicle (how many actual freight elevators are made up of nothing but bench seats with seat belts?). But once the RIDE starts, I want to be able to suspend disbelief totally and just go with it. At WDW you can't because of the clunky re-slotting into the 2nd shaft; at DCA/Paris/Tokyo, you can.

Again, that's called a difference of opinion.

<Pirates never in its history had a 2 hour wait.>

You sound like you're about 14, so I'll cut you some slack here, but I'm old enough to have gone on Pirates in 1967, so I'll just say that you reveal your ignorance here. In its early years during busy periods, 2 hour waits for Pirates were quite common. They had a whole other queue area to the side of the building that you don't even see any more. It's a brilliantly designed peopleeater, but it got tremendous lines for years anyway.

Dabob2, once again you and I are totally on the same page re TOT. Love the smooth delivery of the DCA version (5th dimension great 1st time, but that's it for me, whereas DCA's, just a thrill a second - also I love the mirror!!!).

And yep, I remember during the 25th, we waited forever to get on PotC.
