"All Fastpass does is make the standby lines longer and crowd the walkways."

REALLY? You forgot the most important thing FastPass does: enables me to not wait in line! I don't want to wait 40 minutes to see Roger Rabbit or Buzz. No thanks. FastPass, please!

The ride systems are exactly the same at each park; eight passenger vehicles leaving the station at exactly the same dispatch interval. Even if there is an extra set of screens in WDW (which there isn't), it would make no difference because the hourly capacity is still the same. Midway Mania has an OHRC of 1,200 per hour at both WDW and DCA, and realistic hourly counts will be around 1,100 per hour for each ride.

Fastpass at WDW is just a choice made by the operations executives in Florida. Our operations executives who made this decision (Greg Emmer circa 2006) are no fan of Fastpass. I agree with bean and the Witches that Fastpass is the worst thing Marketing has ever crammed down the throats of Disney theme parks. Even worse than creepy Dream Swans in the Castle moat. The Standby line for Midway Mania in WDW will crawl along at an unbearably slow speed.

As for the glowing review I've given of Midway Mania, please don't misinterpret that to mean this is the next Pirates or Indy or Soarin'. It's not. But it is a clever dark ride that exceeds the expectations of a dark ride and is really fun to play. If you had only 60 minutes to spend at DCA and wanted my advice, I would tell you to go ride Soarin', Tower and try to get on Screamin'. If you had 90 minutes to spend over there, I would then add Midway Mania, or maybe Grizzly instead if it was a hot day.

Midway Mania is definitely one of the new hits and highlights of a day spent at DCA. However, it does not quite rank in the Top 10 best Disney rides in Anaheim.

But it's darn fun, and a bunch of us went over after work today and rode several more times! Woohoo!

ORDDU: We didn't forget your, Godess, Mara, dear. It's just that the world doesn't revolve around a select few who seem to have forgotten others. Everyone deserves to be treated equally and Fast pass causes guests to compete with each other in ways that aren't fair. But we've been over this ground so many times it's ridiculous.

Why are people who use FastPass a "select few who seem to have forgotten about others"? That's pretty judgmental and it puts people who use FastPass in an unfair and negative light.

Why anyone would chose to wait in a line rather than use FastPass is unfathomable to me.

Well, this gives me hope :). I have to say it never looked or sounded all that exciting, but I was eagar to ride it nevertheless lol.

Looks like I will be in the states this summer for a few weeks and TSM is definitely on my list to see. I have to say, as much as DCA sucks, I haven't really been dissappointed in all the stuff that comes out lately and DCA won't even get the real stuff until a few years from now. And I still love Monsters Inc lol.

Anyway, if Westsider is saying this is a good ride....then it must be a good ride ;).

I went on the ride over 15 times over the past 2 days. It is SO MUCH FUN! I wasn't excited when I 1st saw the YouTube Video, but after riding it I was Hooked! I would concider this attarction an E-Ticket, and a MUST SEE! If you only get to ride one ride in DCA, it must be THIS RIDE! The attaction is extremely addictive, just like a real video game. Gamers will love this ride. I liked discovering all the secret targets too!
Like the rainbow Baloons on Bo-Peeps game worth 2000 each, and Zurg on the Buzz Ring Toss.

My only warning is that after repetitive play, this game WILL hurt your arm and hands! In Fact, I got blisters on my hands from playing so much!

Wow, are you the SAME Mr. F who wrote this back in the WDW boards less than 2 weeks ago after seeing it on Youtube:

<<I am not impressed at all! The whole ride is one big room full of Video Screens, No Animatronics, No sets, nothing, the vehichles just stop n go stop n go, not very exciting. Who goes on vacation to play video games? The Spierman Ride at IOA is much better! This does not make me excited for the california version at all!>>

I guess it goes to show kids, as much as the Youtube vid may be lacking in others eyes, I guess it TRULY is a difference between the video and the actual experience as Mr. F's before and after experience look like it was written by two different people ;).

>>>I have heard nothing but great things about this ride. I'm really excited to see and hear that DCA finally get a "knock it out of the park" hit - the first since Soarin' in my opinion (just based on what I have read).<<<

I find this a really sad statement as I think ToT at DCA is world class, Aladdin is worth the price of admission, and Monster's Inc is the best dark ride at DLR with the exception of the NOS offerings.
