>>A puppet show on the scale of Ave Q, a broadway show that sells out nightly. Aladdin is a lame attempt at a broadway show that scored a C grade in Entertainment Weekly! Little Mermaid is one of the most blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah blah."<<

Yeah, but Nara Dreamland?

By the way ...

>>Naradreamland RIPS DCA. One of the most attended theme parks in the world.<<

What was Nara dreamland's attendance last year? Be sure to give us a link. ;-)

When I read that I knew I was speaking to a child or someone of very low intelligence and realized I didn't need to debate anymore.

It's our old buddy the monthly troll. I wonder whose boards he hangs out in the other three weeks?

You do know what Nara Dreamland's attendance was last year, right?

Sat 5/17/2008 2:41a Bean I disagree, I LOVE FP! If you use it right, its a huge help!
Re this:

"Buzz, Roger Rabbit, Indiana Jones should never have received fastpass. Its a relief to see that people in charge in Anaheim are realizing that and did not push for it on Midway Mania."

If the Walt Disney Company did not like FP, then why does the WDW version of TSM have it? Or new TOT in Paris Disney? FP is still around because the guests LOVE IT (and so do i!)"

if use properly fastpass does help in reducing wait time for a select few. Sadly that tends to be the people that visit the parks repeatedly and not the out of town person that has minimal time. Most people have a hard time understanding the system.

Also by allowing fastpass it reduces the amount of people on the standby line to ride the attraction, making the standby lines longer.

I also did not say that the walt Disney company does not like fastpass. Management in WDW loves it, it gives people more time to roam the walkways and eventually spend more time in stores and eateries.

That was the whole purpose of Fastpass. It was not created specifically to reduce the wait time for a select few, it was created to give those select few more time to explore the shops.

In Anaheim it is being seen diferently. Slowly some attractions have begun to loose their fastpass system.

When Pirates received fastpass it actually caused the attractions standby to last hours and forcedlines to spill out into the walkways. The elimination allowed for the full queue to be used and the line to move more efficiently.
Same for star tours which now sometimes has empty queues compared when faastpass caused the queues to back up with standby guests.

Fastpass is not ideal for every attraction. Even Buzz lightyear saw lines being forced all the way back to the matterhorn because of fastpass.

Indy's elaborate queue is mostly empty due to the shoehorned in fastpass system. meanwhile adventureland has crowds of standby guests wiating in walkways when they could be enjoying the highly themed queue.

Thats the problem some of us have with the system.

Although i do not like the suggestion, i would not mind fastpass reduced to only major attractions and then only offered as an encentive when staying on property or a Disney friendly neighbor hotel.

I am sorry but anyone that feels that Fantasmic is better in DHS than Disneyland has some issues.

Even the people that created and work Fantasmic in DHS feel its the inferior stepchild of the original.

bean i wouldn't worry about this guy, we all know F! at disneyland is way superior than the one in florida. Just take a look at the two endings and you can see a difference between them.

And comparing Avenue Q to the voyage of the little mermaid is so laughable!!! I have seen both my friend and mermaid is no avenue Q. Dont get me wrong though. its not that little mermaid is bad, but comparing an adult show with a kiddie show is just not so smart.

Voyage

Avenue Q

both of them couldn't be more different.

<FP is the greatest theme park innovation ever.>

You've obviously forgotten about Disney's Handwich.

Does Nara Dreamland use FP?

How does the capacity of this attraction rank up against some other ones? 1200 doesn't sound like that much, but it also doesn't seem terrible. How's it compare to something like Soarin' or Splash Mountain? Those are both big name attractions, but they do have lower capacities. The waits on Splash never seemed too bad before FP (even after, it's not bad except the hottest days), so I would guess that this will be similar. Without FP, the line should keep moving pretty well, so I'm pretty hopeful for the actual operations of the ride.

>>Naradreamland RIPS DCA. One of the most attended theme parks in the world.<<

Okay, as the only person as far as I know, on these boards who has actually BEEN to Nara Dreamland, let me save people the suspense: Nara Dreamland was one of the crappiest theme parks I ever been to in my entire life. It was so utterly bad, it's like watching an accident on the freeway....only sadly you are one of the people involved in the accident. Words can't describe how how much of a disater this place was. I was there in 2004 with my girlfriend and it was so amazingly bad, you're just standing there can't believing someone actually built the place and the only thing that could be worse than that scenario is that you actually tracked the place down and chose at your free will to go in and PAY for it. Right then and there, you deserve whatever punishment you get. A theme park that is so outdated, so mismatched, so utterly poor in design, that it almost feels like a parody to Disneyland and in NO way a 'replica' of it.

Nara Dreamland can't be described through simple words how badly done it all is. I wish I was a poet so I could speak more eleqouently about the tragedy of this place, but I can't. Just put it THIS way, it was the first time I felt DEPRESSED being in a theme park. After 3 hours of it, how empty and bleak it felt, I was sooo ready to go. My girlfriend at the time came with me and if there was a reason to dump me, this would've been the time. I dragged the girl to some of the most oddest places in some of the remote parts of the world, but Nara Dreamland was without a doubt one of the oddest, maybe even most bizarre place we been to. Again, it has to be seen to believe. But, no more as it has been (thankfully) closed for several years now.

With all that said though, the rollercoaster was fun :D.

(Yes, DCA is without a DOUBT better than Nara Dreamland, that isn't a question lol.....but only by *thismuch* though ;D)
