Tucked away in the back corner of a store in Adventureland, I noticed those dinosaurs you find at the Dino Institute Shop and they were all tagged "Countdown to Extinction." If only I knew! They were my carry-on last week.

That's weird considering they haven't called it CtX in several years but "dinosaur." Makes me wonder how old the merchandise is.

Personally I liked the original name better. It's still the same attraction though.

Is it true that they made the ride more tame when the attraction got the new name? I have to say that Dinosaur is the most terrifying ride I've ever seen from Disney. Also, is there a T-Rex on the ride? There's a CTX-branded T-Rex toy at DL, but I only remember the repeat encounters with one scary looking Carnotaurus.

I think, and I'm no park expert, that there is no T-Rex. But when that Carnotaur's big head is coming at you, you really don't have time to do a good identification.
