Are the new Pixar Studios arches at either end of the backside of the Great Movie Ride building (encompassing all the former soundstages 1, 2, and 3)? Or do the Pixar arches just frame the Toy Story mania building?

Also, is there a store in this new area with TSM merchandise?

No idea about the arches but we will either get a store aor get a kiosk. My question is are we getting any new pixar attractions other than TSM anytime soon or is that for next years YEAR OF A MILLION DREAMS LOL

jmuboy,

The walls are still up along the side across from the entrance to the new attraction so I'm not sure. I've heard there will be food carts and merchandise carts similar in size to what was there before.

And there's been various rumors circulating about the possibility of future Toy Story attractions in the area. We posted a link on the Latest to one that suggested a Monsters Inc ride was on the way.

From the article
"We can only imagine what the Disney Imagineers might come up with based on the scene in the movie where the doors fly by on ‘drycleaner' type apparatus and open up to new rooms and adventures for Sully and Mike."

Um .. yes we can ... this was done in the DCA attraction, no?

The DCA attraction used a traditional dark ride system that was already in place from Superstar Limo. They repainted the purple limos into yellow cabs, canged the onboard video and sets, but followed the exact same route (past many of the same scenes and props cleverly disguised). I would enjoy seeing a Peter Pan-like ride based on MI, since there do seem to be some really good scenes to reinact from that movie.

Me, too. Monsters and Incredibles are some of my favorite Pixar flicks.
