Hook's Pointe is our favorite place to eat when we are at Disneyland. The menu is somewhat upscale, but at the same time the restaurant has a casual family-friendly atmosphere.

The prices are really quite moderate for a Disney restaurant, with entrees costing between $19 and $30 dollars. In our experience the food has been very well-prepared, and I particularly like the sauces that they use with the various dishes. The menu is primarily fish and seafood, but there are also chicken, pork, beef and pasta dishes for those who don't like eating from the sea.

The restaurant is located in the courtyard/pool area of the Disneyland hotel. This is a lovely setting, especially with the beautiful lighting after dark.

<<Sounds good.>>

We certainly think so. Our last two trips to Disneyland we've stayed at the Disneyland Hotel a total of 10 nights. Five of those nights we've dined at Hook's Pointe!

Sounds like making reservations is not necessary?

<<Sounds like making reservations is not necessary?>>

We weren't there at extremely busy times of the year, but I think in most cases you could be seated in 15 minutes or so without a reservation. Once we discovered how much we liked eating there we generally made dinner reservations the same day in the morning.

OK I'll keep that in mind.

I agree with Trippy. Hook's is one of those nice little surprises.

I have the feeling (more than a feeling actually) that its days are numbered.

Is it being replaced with something else?

It's all up in the air depending on whether the DLH gets razed completely or just redone one tower at a time ... either way, there'll be huge changes and I do fear Hook's will disappear.

I need to eat there on my next visit!
