Hook's Pointe is one of the most consistently good restaurants on the Disneyland Resort property.

It's been a couple of years, but we always had great food, great wine and and great service. Norman was our server several times -- he was first-class all the way. The interior is beautiful, and the costs are semi-reasonable for the quality of the food.

My husband and I ate there on our honeymoon several years ago, and try to get back at least once a year - food is excellent, plus all the wonderful memories!

Always had excellent service there. For a party of two, more times than not, they seem to be able to find a table, even if there is a line outside. But with a larger party, I would not chance it during the heavy season without a reservation.

The hotel resaurants seem to be the best kept secret. When all of the restaurants of DTD were packed with wait times of 45 to 90 minutes, it paid off to walk a further to the DL hotel where they took us immediately as a "walk-on" party of two...amazing.
Yamabuki's is also good in a pinch when all other restaurants are packed. It's Japanese cuisine. But I love their sushi bar. Oh, while I am on that topic, I have on good authority from my friend who is of Japanese heritage and whose mother is from Japan, that it is customary to tip your Sushi chef a small tip in addition to your regular bill tip.
Nothing approaching a 15% tip, but maybe $5 or 10 depending on how much you have ordered.

Oh yeah, they found out that I was there for my birthday, and at the end of our meal, I was presented with a complimentary sushi tray with a wonderful carving of an orange made to look like a mouse. On the tray were slices of the orange with assorted blueberries and raspberries. And, a some of the servers as well as our sushi chefs sang a traditional Happy Birthday song in Japanese. It was very special.

We ate there as part of the Candlelight Procession dinner package and loved it.
