My kids and I are going to Univeral Studios next month. We have 5 nights at the Fairfeild Hotel by Universal, then 3 nights at Disney's All Star Music resort. I bought the 2-park tickets for Universal and it gives you 7 days in Universal or Island of Adventure. We would only use 4 days. I was wondering if 4 days was too much for these 2 parks. To add another magic your way ticket to our disney package would only cost $36. for all 4 of us. But then getting there would cost money too. We haven't decided if we will rent a car, since other than getting to the fairfeild and getting to DW will be the only time we would need one. We have gone to DW the last 3 summers (except oldest son 22, this will be his first trip.) and haven't been to Universal. Now that it is only 23 days away, I'm really going into planning mode. All tips would be helpful.

In my opinion, four days at Universal might be a bit much. It's fairly easy to see all that each park has in 2 days (1 full day for each park). Three days would just about guarantee that you'll see everything you would want to see and then some. My suggestion is that if you're not really interested in adding another day to Disney, enjoy the resort ammenities and pool and City Walk. Or, better yet, see if transportation is available from your hotel to Sea World. Sea World is a wonderful experience and has one of the best coasters in Florida - Kraken. Journey to Atlantis is also a high quality water/dark ride/coaster experience and Wild Arctic is one of the best themed animal exhibits ever created.

Hi,
My husband and I spent two days at Universal in late April. It was fun, but we definitely saw all we wanted to in those two days. We did Islands one day and Universal the other...even had time to reride some favorites. I think 4 days is too much, unless the lines are huge.

I have to echo what others have said. I think you could see EVERYTHING at both parks in three days.

I don't know what your passes allow but we got a combined USF/IOA/SW/BG ticket and spent a day at Sea World.

If you are allowed that I would definitely spend one day at SW.

Thanks everyone, this is very helpful. I just realized last weekend that I have been looking at the wrong Fairfield hotel. I assumed we were at the Fairfeild across the street from Universal Studios, but I checked my paperwork from AAA and we are at the one only 1 mile from DW! I was really happy about that so now it will be no problem adding another day for DW.
