This couldn't be a more perfect example of the Republican noise machine. Kevin James (not the actor) just keeps yelling and repeating himself over and over, looking more and more foolish.

What an idiot.

He could've gotten out of that, too, even given the fact he had no clue what he was talking about. In fact, I'm surprised he was too dumb to even try.

A simple "look, he was an appeaser of Hitler and you can read any history textbook if you want a point by point accounting of what he did wrong. In any case...".

Wouldn't have totally helped, but it would've been better than what happened.

Or, even cooler, would have been him saying "You're asking for specifics and I can't cite any off the top of my head, but we're all well aware of the general tone of appeasement he offered towards Germany"

How dreadful...the TRUTH! :p

Great link, ec. I don't know HOW this got sunk way to the bottom of the list!

Watching again, he could've gotten out even easier if he'd just said "he did a lot of things wrong, which one are YOU referring to?".

Anyway, grave dug. Game over.

Moron. :p

If Kevin James (of whom this Republican had never heard) were even remotely a spokesman for the GOP, I would agree that he would lead the "NOISE" machine. As hilarious as this is, bear in mind that Mr. James is a rather obscure host of a 9-11pm radio show in LA (I had to look this up). Previous to this, he hosted "Red Eye Radio" (1-5am), and previous to that was a drive time host in Oklahoma City. Challenging this guy's intellect is the equivalent of tripping a dwarf.

I also note that he was at one point in his career a federal prosecutor. I wonder how many contempt of court citations he received for attempting to simply outshout his opponents...

>>If Kevin James (of whom this Republican had never heard) were even remotely a spokesman for the GOP, I would agree that he would lead the "NOISE" machine.<<

Except no one called him a spokesperson. One certainly does not need to be a spokesperson to be a part of the noise machine. Of course, Mr. James resembles men like Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, who are also a big part of the noise machine.

When it's convenient for them, Republicans like to disavow these people, insisting that they don't speak for them and aren't really officially part of the party. When it's also convenient, Republicans embrace these people, proudly trumpeting how much better their ratings are than, say, Air America. And let's not forget how many times Dick Cheney has been interviewed on Rush Limbaugh's show.

Nope, Kevin James, regardless of his popularity, looks like an awful lot of Republicans who don't understand history. Like those, say, foolish enough to compare 21st century Muslim terrorists to Adolf Hitler.

No, when gazing on the bumbling buffoonery of an obsurity this Republican will cheerfully disavow these people.

What I find odd in this is just WHO gets to determine who is speaking for the GOP. Whoever it is, it's kind of silly to elect Mr. Strawman and his sister Sue...

What I find odd in this is an attempt to disavow conservative talk radio hosts from the GOP. Let's say Kevin James isn't part of the GOP. Is Rush? Hannity? Coulter? O'Reilly?

What more moderate Republicans have missed while they've been so busy defending the party is that they aren't in charge anymore. The people in charge are the fans of Rush and Hannity. Hence Cheney on Limbaugh's show and pulling the White House press secretary straight from Fox News. And then getting one who doesn't even know what the Cuban Missile Crisis was (another proud Bush Administration moment).

Kevin James made an ass out of himself and now it's a big YouTube hit, so it's little wonder the GOP would like to insist he's no part of them. But conservative talk radio is undoubtedly a huge part of the Republican party.

It's a good thing the Democrats don't have a noise machine.

"It's a good thing the Democrats don't have a noise machine."

If you're talking about Air America, then it's the equivalent of a four cylinder 1979 Datsun with an oil leak.

Kevin James used to sit in quite often for the day time hosts on KABC, and every now and was a call-in guest for Hannity, since Hannity's show in LA is on KABC. He also got a lot of exposure on Larry Elder, another syndicated show. They wanted to groom him for the "big-time" so to speak, which is why he still frequently goes over the top, as he's been encouraged to do so, by the same people that were and are "grooming" him. He's not as obscure as one might think. The reason I know this is one of the people I carpool with listens to the station. He's such buffoon that I had to ask someone I know who works at a sister television station about him after I first heard him. He's now moved over to a station with a weaker signal, thankfully, but still manages to get himself on various talking head programs.
