Topic: Is DCA worst theme park created over past 50 years

1	WilliamK99 Sun 5/18/2008 2:08a	Recently a new user, who I think is a troll, but will give them the benefit of the doubt declared that DCA was the worst theme park created over the past 50 years. So let ask, is DCA the worst theme park created over the past 50 years? It may not be perfect but it's better than 90% of the theme parks out there.

C'mon William, everyone knows the answer to that (and I think you are letting this poster get to you---trust me it happened with me and some idiot called Disney Curley before. Advice: DON'T!). Of course DCA isn't and 50 freakin years is a looong time frame. I mean, sadly, it isn't even the worst Disney theme park anymore. Thankfully we now have WDSP and HKDL to pass that threshhold ;). Look I think DCA is a bad, sucky park, but I always emphasis a bad, sucky **DISNEY** park, there is a huge difference. But what's there recently and what's coming are all welcomed additions in my book and I am looking more forward to DCA's future (assuming it will still be called DCA ;)) while letting go of its ugly, stepchild past. Really, its a theme park, what else can we do??

6	Goofyernmost Sun 5/18/2008 4:15a	I never thought it a bad park, just a disjointed one with no real flow. It catered to the teenager and threw in a few "old folks" attractions while their kids were busy throwing up. When I first saw it all I could think is that about 75% of it was trying to incorporated Epcot, Disney Studios and AK in there to compete with the east coast. I think what they didn't consider was that the park was too expensive for teenagers, on their own, to afford and when with parents, the parents were not entertained enough to go, so nobody went. For the most part, the individual attractions were well themed there was just no continuity. It's like skipping chapters while reading a book. Each chapter may be interesting, but, the story is hard to follow. It doesn't take long to loose interest.

8	dshyates Sun 5/18/2008 8:18a	I think DCA is bad enough to damage the Disney brand, and become a big enough of a joke to be a punch line on network TV. But it is far from the worst theme park in theme park history. What with Heritage, USA, Holy Land, and Splendid China coming to mind as far, FAR worse than DCA.
