This topic is for Discussion of Latest: LaughingPlace.com launches Google Calendars
Today LaughingPlace.com has launched three Google Calendars for Disney fans wanting to keep tracking of upcoming Disney events. There are three calendars available: One that covers all of Disney, one with Disneyland events only and one with Walt Disney World events only. These Google Calendars are fully integrated with LaughingPlace.com's Upcoming Events so they will always have the latest dates, details and links. And by using Google Calendar readers can integrate these events into their own calendars and view the events in a variety of ways. To see the calendars in action, click for: All of Disney, Disneyland, Walt Disney World.

Would love any suggestions for what to add. Already planned are park hours and refurbs.

I know you guys are on the east coast, but for the DLand only calander you probably want to use the West Coast time zone. The times look about right for the the west coast, but you probably want to change the little line on the bottom so it's not confusing. :-)

Actually none of the items have times, they're dates only. But we will change it so it does says it's Pacific Time Zone.

The hard part of integrating park hours into the calendar has already been done for you. I created an API that will retrieve directly from the disney site the park hours and parade/firework times and return them as XML. Contact me/take a look at http://api.tipwit.com and http://tipwit.com

MrsElderP,

I post the times within the event announcement based upon the location of the event itself.

Rebekah.

Here are the iCal urls, which let you add the calenders to lots of calendering apps:

All Disney:
http://www.google.com/calendar...asic.ics

Disneyland:
http://www.google.com/calendar...asic.ics

WDW:
http://www.google.com/calendar...asic.ics

Thanks Doobie and Rebekah, this is an awesome idea! If you ever do set times in the Disneyland calender please make sure it's changed to pacific timezone so alerts will be sent at the right time.
