This is an amazing video. I have to warn you though it is a graphic video (it involves a baby buffalo and a lion). I can deduct a ton of parables out of this video but you can take a look for yourself:

So what does this have to do with faith? Even though that is an amazing video.

I'll echo dshyates question. I am a man of faith. I believe God is the creator of nature and it is, mostly, fascinating and beautiful. However, as much as I feel blessed by nature, I only see the creation and it doesn't particular enhance my faith. My faith comes from more specific things having to do with God.

I feel more spiritual and centered when I am in nature (this has become a huge discovery for me in the past few months) but I don't really understand what this video has to do with faith.

How VERY cool that the buffalo, collectively, came back!

And how totally gross to listen to the Brits watching and narrating.

Death as entertainment. No thanks.

At this point, I'm not sure that the video does much for the condition of my "faith," one way or the other.

I need to think about it.

I shot a video of a grizzly bear chasing a herd of Elk around. It isn't nearly as dramatic as this, but it is quite funny watching the bear charge, the elk just sort of trot about 100 yards until the bear exhausts, then they all stop and eat for about 3-5 mins. until the bear tries again. The elk trot farther down the field. Stop eat, and so on until the bear panting and obviously frustrated turns and lumbers off.

Oh, and in this video, I like how the lion inadvertently save the buffalo's life. If the lion hadn't tried to take the prize from the crocodile, it would have "death rolled' and drowned the buffalo in short order. The other buffalo would have had no way to intervene. But after the baby is out of the water it is not surprising that the adult buffalo go into action. Buffalo are some pretty impressive animals. I haven't actually seen the Cape Buffalo in nature. But I have seen tons of American Bison. And even have seen the Musk Ox in the high tundra. I think Buffalo are like a cooler thinking version of a cow.

Nature is my religion. I love being outside amidst everything (stupid allergies get in the way sometimes, though) and seeing how beautiful it all is. The early mornings are the best, when the air is crisp and clean, and the sun is just about to rise.

But none of this is proof that God exists and created everything. In fact, it works just the opposite for me. I see the mountains and am amazed at how many years the earth struggled to form them. I look at the animals and wonder what its ancestors looked like millions of years ago. I see plants and trees and marvel at the circle of life that has gone on for eons.

Yes sir, nature is wonderful. What makes it more amazing is that it did it all by itself without any divine help.
