Sun 5/18/2008 11:37p | I have been using vacation planning to set up some wonderful surprises for my children on our upcoming june trip.
because vacation planning includes room service items and personal shopping how should I handle the gratuity? does anyone know if the gratuity for personal shopping will be atomatically charged w/the rest of the charges? and should I tip the vacation planners and if so how much? for room service items through vacation planning is gratuity added or do you tip room service directly? the vacation planners have been so helpful and I really want to make sure I do everything right.....any help would be appreciated.

Mon 5/19/2008 10:37a | For the times we've used VP, the items arrived in our room when we weren't there, so didn't have the opportunity to tip.
However, for the room service items, there is a gratuity added onto the bill...just for the reason you may not be in the room at the time, I suppose.
If you wanted to tip the VP staff for the personal shopping, etc, I'm not sure how you'd handle that part. Sorry. |

Mon 5/19/2008 12:06p | The hotel will forward items for tips, gifts, etc., to your VP respresentative..and if you are happy with the service, please remember to send a compliment to guest relations also..these do go to the supervisors and you will get two separate acknowledgements, one a general one that they received your compliment, and a second one that addresses the specific VP cast member and your compliment.
I have always had service above and beyond from VP...love 'em!!!!

Mon 5/19/2008 6:36p | As I understand it you have to arrange to get your disney rewards point ahead of time, before you can spend then on any thing at all. You call Chase and Chase sends you a gift card w/disney dollars on it. Then you can use it wherever Disney gift cards are accepted. I would imagine that includes at checkout at your hotel, where your charges will be. |
