It seems as though the focus is more on Carsland and TLM and less on the new entrance.>>>
Out of the three, I'll take Carsland and TLM over a new entrance by a landslide. |

I'll never forget the man who insisted I be given one (I was just a high school kid). Miss ya, BG.

I went to Americana on opening night ... It was "standing room" only. I could barely walk through .. and DEFINITELY would have been a hazard to run the trolleys.
And regarding a trolley for DCA .... While an attractive piece, and I hope it does not end up on the backburner .. running it will be difficult. How many times do the vehicles on Main St. get shut down due to overwhelming crowds?.
And back to Americana in Glendale ... that is interesting news there are power issues. I figured ... they would not run them to the crowds die down after a few weeks, since opening day.
And I will offer my critique on Americana @ Brand in my "Orange and LA County Entertainment Mall" topic in DL:Trip Planning soon ......... pssst - Not terribly impressed. (They put way too much emphasis on retail ... and not enough on restaurants.) |

Here's a novel idea .... Instead of calling this: The DCA Makeover (2.0)
how about "The Disney Decade 2.0" ! |

The Disney Decade part II |

I see you did find pictures. George McGinnis was at the Carolwood Barn over the weekend (for the dedication of Ollie Johnston's train depot) and had photos with him. They are very attractive. I hope they get them up and running.
(By the way, there should be a gathering of Imagineers at Walt's Barn the third Sunday in June from 11 to 3. It looks like Bob Gurr, Blaine Gibson, Harriet Burns and X Atencio will be there. Maybe George McGinnis, too. It's a good informal place to meet these amazing people.) |

I've only seen them not on Main Street when crowds gather for a parade, or the fireworks. I've seen them running when the street was filled with pedestrians. |

Well, that is, of course, IF they follow through with the Carsland. There seems to be an uncertainty with many of the concepts the Imagineering has been developing, especially those related to DCA. It seems that at every turn, something is either being changed, scaled back or removed.
The only thing that provides any sort of comfort as far as Carsland goes is that Lasseter will be pushing for it. If only he had the same interest in non-Pixar attractions.
