Why does EPCOT say Future World closes every night at 7 pm when it clearly stays open until park closing? I just came home from Epcot and I was enjoying the attractions in FW until 8:45 when I decided to beat the closing rush and head home. Anyoone know the reason?

The "Times Guide and New Information" sheet that you can pick up along with the Guide Map indicates that certain Future World attractions remain open until Epcot closes. During my last visit they were SSE, Soarin', Test Track, Mission Space, Nemo and Turtle Talk. In other words, more Future World attractions remain open than closed.

Because they're lazy. That's the general sum of it.

The last time I was there at night all the Future World attractions closed at 7 PM. You couldn't get in them with a crowbar. Perhaps that has changed now.

I think the ultimate reason is it's better say FW closes at 7 while some attractions stay open later rather than FW closes at 9 and some attractions close at 7. I think it comes off better and is also less likely to cause guests to miss an attraction because they thought it would still be open.

I agree Doobie, though the MK closes several attractions early.

Does anyone remember when all attractions, shops and restaurants opened at park opening and closed at park close to avoid disappointment? I miss those days. And DLP is worse that DL and WDW combined. Can't remember the last time I rode the train or Mark Twain/Molly Brown due to staggered opening/closing times.

In Epcot's defence however, i assume they close Innoventions at 7, and this is why the note. It is cast member heavy and dependent on sponsors too.

Good explaination, Doobie.

innoventions does close nightly at 7, but one attraction closing means they have to say the entire Fw closes? Does not make sense to me, But maybe the typical tourist wouldnt have an issue with this and think the entire area closes as they state.

Innoventions isn't the only one. Both attractions at Imagination close. Universe of Energy. The Land boat ride and Circle of Life film. So looks like about half and half.

Doobie.
