So I am beginning to worry about our August stay at the POFQ...when I first booked I was going off of prior reviews I had read that were all really positive, but now I don't know. It sounds like the quality of service and cleanliness of the rooms is not very good?? Any thoughts? I have never stayed at this resort and would like some info/opinions on it. I picked it because 1. It is smaller than the others so less walking at the end of a long Disney day 2. It looks charming 3. The pool looks like a lot of fun for my DD age 7 4. There is a boat to DDD.

Please don't be worried about it at all! This is where I ALWAYS stay and I absolutely love it.

The store / gift shop is great and the cast members there are wonderful. The boat ride to DTD is very convenient, and there is Disney bus service to almost anywhere you want to go. You don't need a car when you stay here.

The laundry is located right next to the cool dragon pool so you can put your clothes in the washer, take a dip or lie by the pool and read a book, and then go back and switch the clothes to the dryer.

Their eatery is great...a decent variety of snacks, meals and drinks.

Also, if you take a stroll down the path that lines the river, you will end up on the Riverside property and you can fish, or just walk around the beautiful landscape.

I recommend FQ highly.

I prefer the PO properties to most of the deluxes. Go and have a great time. Enjoy.

Maybe it was good to bring your expectations down a notch - so now you will love the place!

I was absolutely thrilled with POR and am staying there next time. (Like it was yesterday, I can remember my peaceful early-morning walks for coffee through the beautiful property.)

Come to think of it, house cleaning might have been slightly under Disney usual HIGH standards, and maybe one CM was not Mrs. Helpful, but not anything that compromised our wonderful stay (and not anything you wouldn't find at every other hotel).

I haven't read any bad POFQ reviews, and people seem to be particularly happy with the recently-remodeled rooms.

Don't forget you most likely won't be IN your room much at all - esp. during daylight hours. And kids DO love the pool.

Esp. fun at POR (if you make it over there) for girls is the hair-wrap station and the surrey bike rentals.

One last thing - I don't know about POFQ rooms, but I read in advance that bathrooms in POR (mansions) have pedistal sinks and no counter space. We took the advice to bring a closet/shoe-hanger thing (with all the pockets) and it worked perfectly!

You really shouldn't second-guess yourself. (Stop reading hotel reviews!) I bet you'll love it!

POFQ is my families favorite Mod resort. It is beautiful and very intimate. You can easily walk to food courts, pool and restaurants.

Thanks for the pep talks everyone...I feel much better after reading these reviews. I know you always have to take reviews with a grain of salt because you absolutely can't please everyone, but after reading so many negative ones I was a little concerned. I think the POFQ will be lovely and my daughter is so excited about the pool. This is my daughter's first trip to WDW (we go to DLR a couple times a year).

Well if you are a Disneylander, it will be like living in New Orlean Square to a degree. Be sure to visit the Haunted Mansion style buildings of riverside while you are there.

My kids and I stayed at POFQ in Aug. 06. We loved it! It is very charming. My son and I got up early one morning and walked over to riverside. It was a very pretty walk and my son (Who was 7 at the time) loved seeing the ducks and lizards. We loved the pool. We were in building 7 so we were not too close to the pool. It was quiet in our room. Boat ride to DTD at night was really neat to see everything light up as you arrive.
