I know this sounds like 2 completely unrelated things, but I think they should do something like they do in our state (maybe other states do too). If you buy your child a lifetime hunting license in our state before the age of 2 it's like $200 or something, but its a hunting license for life.

I think Disney should do the same thing for passes for kids - if you buy it for your kids say before the age of 3, then fork over like $1,000 and your kid has a LIFETIME pass for DLR. I know that the pricing may not be realistic, but I'm sure you get the idea.

No I'm not but I don't think that makes any difference, I said right in my post that the pricing wasn't realistic - it's the idea I'm trying to put forward.

Sheesh.

>>Figure at a $400 annual fee, times 30 years - that totals $12K.<<

I gave it a higher figure. PAP prices have gone up about 168% in the last 4-5 years and I felt it reasonable, that within a few years, we would be looking at $500.00 PAP's...and who can predict what they would be 15-20 years from now.

If Disney ever offered a lifetime pass, I'd be very scared about the future of the company, because once they have our money, where is the incentive to try harder?

>> because once they have our money, where is the incentive to try harder?<<

WilliamK99, I don't have any hard facts to back this up, just personal experience. Disney makes far more off of me in food, lodging and merchandise sales than they do off of the AP's. I suspect that's true for many of us. I don't think the price of the AP's is a major factor in Disney quality. The AP's just make it more attractive for some of us to go to the park more frequently.
