So I was on Wikipedia today reading about Disneyland paris and under attractions in Fantasyland they list the little mermaid coming in 2012. This is the first I heard about this I didn't even know it was coming, does anyone know more??? Will it be similar to DCA's version?? Also is it smart to say a new ride will be there in 2012, thats pretty far down the rode so it seems to me like this might not be final and may even be made up seeing as how far away it is. Anyone know whats going on??

Just a rumor at this point, nothing official has been announced thus far about new attractions at WDSP or DLP. My guess is they will make a decision after the summer season on what to build next. Rumors I am hearing call for Playhouse Disney at WDSP.

It is interesting to note that Little Mermaid was originally going to be put in DLP, but they dropped it due to budget restraints many years ago.

Looks like someone was having fun on the Disneyland Paris Wikipedia Page last night. Going to spend some time fixing it up, but it is showing Country Bear Jamboree, America Sings, and other crazy rides being built for the park.

you are right someone was having fun, now instead of mermaid it says mickey mouse revue, some these are so not possible for paris and would never come there i.e. Hall of Presidents. The down side to wikipedia

I have edited the changes and am petitioning for the IP address adding those asinine additions to be banned from wikipedia.

With the Little Mermaid attraction being built in DCA and rumours of a possible attraction also being built for the Magic Kingdom I don't think we should rule this out for the future, even if the Wikipedia story is false.

Malin,
We can rule it out for the forseeable future. I don't see Disneyland Paris getting any new attractions until Studios is upped even further. I am hoping beyond hope that Soarin' finally gets approved for WDSP.

In a few years, after WDSP is doing better, then it'll be time to add TLM to Disneyland Paris, where I think it would fit in beautifully, especially considering the origins of the story.

Once they start adding to DLP again I think either TLM or something on that patch of land in Adventureland will be next.

I think Adventureland is more likely as it's likely to be something more thrill orientated and DLP does well when it advertises thrill attractions!!!

Playhouse Disney is not a rumor, constructions are undergoing next to Stitch Live. It will open early 2009.

ORDDU: Rumor also has it that Hong Kong Disneyland will be getting a Little Mermaid attraction, too. With Mr. Rasulo's taste for cloning just about everything, it wouldn't surprise us to see Disneyland Paris getting this attraction as well. After all, it was originally supposed to have received it long before now.
