| DyGDisney Mon 5/26/2008 9:06p | I am a very boring cook, probably because I really don't like to cook. I make the same things over and over. I need some new, easy recipes and ideas. I'm not likely to make something really complicated though, and mostly the meat we use is chicken or ground turkey, occasional beef or pork. I like vegetarian ideas too.
Does anyone have any easy recipes they can share?
Thanks. |

Do you have a Trader Joes near you? They have awesome products that you can add to a simple recipe to change it up a bit. Here's one that everyone here loves:
Soy-Vey grilled chicken
Any amount of skinned, boneless chicken breasts sliced length-wise Trader Joes Soy-Vey terriaki sauce Geo Forman Grill, or any grill.
Marinate chicken for 1/2 hour in Soy-Vey. Grill until done. Use fresh sauce (not contaminated by the raw chicken) to dip the chicken in.
I usually slice the chicken in half to cut down cooking time. It also makes a great cold sandwich with mayo and lettuce/tomato for lunch the next day.
I have a lot more simple dinner recipes. Do you want desserts and soups? |

Every week you can pick and choose from among the regular menu, the low-carb menu, and the heart healthy menu. Each menu has one link for two sevings and one link for four servings. Most recipies are 30 to 45 minutes from start to finish, though most weeks also include a slow cooker recipe. 3 months is $9.95 and sample menus are available.
Another suggestion is to fool around on www.allrecipes.com There you can go to the top rated recipes in each catagory as well as the recipe of the day for suggestions. Saturday it was quite chilly and drizzly at my house, good soup weather. This is what I made: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/D...ail.aspx

Preheat oven to 350 Boil 1/2 pkg elbow macaroni & drain, then place in a 2 quart casserole dish. Add (about) 3 cups of small cubed cheese: cheddar cheese (I prefer sharp), and Monterey Jack mixed. Then add 1/4 cup butter, cut into small pieces.
In small bowl beat together 2 cups of milk and 2 eggs. Pour over macaroni & cheese. Top with bread crumbs, if desired.
Cook uncovered for 45-50 minutes. Let stand for about 10 minutes.

1 bag of pasta, already boiled (we like bowties) 4-5 zucchini, slided in half circles olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper (all too taste)
After zucchini is cooked to desired softness, take off heat. Scoop serving onto plate and top with cubed tomatoes, avocados, and parmesan cheese. |
