Wed 5/28/2008 11:53a | Woo Hoo! This is great (if not overdue) news! I just hope that they don't do much to the queue. That's **MY** favorite part of the attraction (honest!) But I would sure like to see some upgrades to the ride itself. I always thought they should have a different ride experience in each "POD" - no reason why they couldn't since each one is independant of the others - only problem would be guests wanting to ride one but not another. |

(Actually, the rumor I heard is that MGM is getting the new Star Tours, and DL Star Tours is being replaced with Epcot's old Body Wars. :-p ) |

I have four main concenrs with a new star tours
1. Please don't have disney cartoon charecters showing up in the ride anywhere (like tinkerbell showing up at the end to spray pixie dust and turn off the video screen).
2.Please don't dumb down the dialogue and make it cringe-worthy and or Childish (examples: Stitch's great escape and the dumbing down of the narration of spaceship earth). The script in the ride right now is very well balanced with both funny and serious stuff and I hope that level of quality screenwriting is maintained in the follow up.
3.Please don't have our pilot be some "hip celebrity" like justin timberlake or hillary duff. And following that up dont make the personality of the pilot obnoxious or trying to be a hipster in an attempt to appeal to my generation (generation y) we hate that stuff.
4. Please keep some of the sound effects that were created for Star Tours. Such as that delightful chime sound! |

Fri 5/30/2008 11:10a | seeing that lucas will most likely be involved and disney does not want to loose him again, he will probably want to have a huge say so in this new attraction and those things you mention probably wont happen. |
