| GalDisney Wed 5/28/2008 6:38p | were you there for the opening weekend of Capt. Eeo? Don't know if i spelled it correctly. I was there. Did they give out free T shirts? I know i had one but cant remember if i bought it or it was free. Anyway, i was looking on ebay and there is one for sale. No it isnt my auction, I got rid of the tshirt many years ago, which now i regret. But if anyone is interested , there is one for sale on ebay. I did bid on this auction, though. |

Don't really remember the giveaway details, but I managed to get three free tee shirts, one for DD and two for DS, and two wristwatches which I still have somewhere in their original bubble wrapping. |

I still have one and don't think I would have bought it. It was a 60 hour weekend where we opened on Friday morning and the Park never closed down until Sunday night. Annual Pass holders could come in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and get the free give-away each day. It was the a wild three days. And like Juicer said the line came all the way down Main Street at times reaching the Train Station. The same held true for the opening weekend of Star Tours. |

As we were driving back to LV, we were listening to a radio station broadcasting from Disneyland and talking about the excited crowds and stuff. It was neat - especially knowing what a awesome attraction it was they were lined-up for. :-)
Too bad MJ turned SO odd in the long run.
DVC Dad... I'm pretty sure it was at Disneyland first. I know it was still in place at WDW after closing in Anaheim, though. |

And I'm pretty sure Eo opened at Epcot first. I'll have to check my Disney A to Z when I get home. |

The opening was the first of their 60 hour weekends. I was able to last 22 hours. A great memory of the time was to have breakfast at the Riverbell Terrace while watch the sun rise sitting next to the rivers of America. |
