I bet the firworks for the 4th would be so pretty.
It's just not my time frame to go though.

In the past week, I saw Wishes 5 times, all from different angles. The whole thing is lame. While the fireworks are good, the music does nothing for me. Fantasmic and Illuminations are just so very much better. In '06, we watched Fantasy in the Sky on July 3 & 4, sitting on the beach at the Poly, that was a super fantastic show.

I have heard that universal has cancelled their 4th of july fireworks. Something about the Harry Potter construction and fire hazard.

bobbelee9 - I think the kids singing on Wishes and all the narration is cringe worthy. The fireworks are nice though. But music makes a huge difference. Illuminations and Fantasmic have amazing scores, so I think that really does impact.

^^^Yup, I could watch those 2 every night, and do frequently listen to the music at home. They are great shows.
Save yourself some typing, it's Bobbe.

<<I think the kids singing on Wishes and all the narration is cringe worthy.>>

Dave, you stealing my lines again? ;-)

Actually I don't call them kids, I call them moppets, but their 'singing' is definitely cringe worthy.

And I'm glad they're debuting a new show. I just hope its more American standards and not the themes from the armed forces that they've done in the past. I just think our country is about a whole lot more than our military (especially when we're involved in a war that never should have happened.)

You have no idea how close you were to a certain Spirit.

^^^Oh rats!!!
It was a really good show wasn't it?! I think if I'd been in the park those nights, I wouldn't have gotten the total effect.
Please don't pick on our military, my Navy son was sitting right beside me on that beach.

I enjoyed the show, but I had a couple of mai tais (maybe something else as well) so I was just looking at the 'pretty lights in the sky!'

Never. Please don't take my feelings for our commander in chief to represent my feelings for the military. Nothing could be further from the truth.

I have had Navy relatives as well.

Yep, I am another Navy family guy (I am the only male in my family to have not served - but because of my disabilities, they didn't want me). But yes, there is more to America than the military. Patriotism should be about celebrating all of America.
