These are the new not so new characters for the Hard Rock park. The first to identify these guys gets a fancy ice cream treat. Tra-la la...

The first **under age 30** to identify them gets a lifetime pass. Weird.

(And didn't Carowinds have the HB characters?)

They did. But were dumped for Nick. I have also heard that the Hard Rock
Park is in negotiations with Kroft Ent. (as in Sid and Marty Kroft) for themeing for a kids land. Maybe a Land of the Lost Dark/Water ride? H. R. Puffenstuff spinner? Lidsville restaurant?
I personally love The Banana Splits. It was cool being 7 years old in 1970. Great Saturday morning cartoons. Seeing Led Zeppelin in 1977 while in junior high was life changing. The 70s were cool, and The Hard Rock Park knows it.

Led Zeppelin ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!

I wanted to add, I think its pretty cool that the HRP would go after The Banana Splits instead of something that is current and hip. They aren't a current marketing bonanza, they are retro cool. I am the target demo for this park. Me and my teens (ok mine are actually 8 and 12, I got started late. My ex and I were to busy seeing the Dead to have kids), but as I was saying, I am the target demo, and I think they pretty much nailed it. I will be seeing it later this month. I'll give a complete report.
Sidebar, it does seem they didn't go after to 30 year old demo as hard. 80s stuff like Pearl Jam, Janes Addiction, U2, Michael Jackson. There is a Slippery When Wet coaster which I believe is a Bon Jovi album.

Ultra-cool!!! I remember seeing the Banana Splits at Kings Island during my first (then many subsequent) visits in 1980. I was sad to see the H-B characters (except Scooby Doo, he got to stay) get kicked out of the former Paramount Parks. Maybe HRP will develop their own Hanna-Barbara Land. Also, a Sid & Marty Kroft area would also be neat, though, their shows were very strange (I knew that even as a kid!) I'd love to see a Land of the Lost dark ride at HRP!!! THAT would be really cool!!!

>>Maybe a Land of the Lost Dark/Water ride?<<

Sign me up! In fact, the heck with Rock and Roll ... just make it a 100% Sid and Marty park.

As a kid, I (and my family) JUUUUST missed going to the Krofft themepark in the Omni in Atlanta. Plans made and everything, then we heard it had closed. I continue to be devastated.

If they built A Bugaloo's Land, I'd book a flight from California as soon as it opened ...
