Did anyone see the speech Obama gave tonight. Wow. Just Wow. I am watching the FOX News wrap, and the speech just left Bill Kristol dumbfounded.
They compared it to McCain's speech, where they concluded McCain looks old. They said Obama looked energized, hopeful, forward-looking.
And I should add the place was electric. Obama really did blow the place apart. And the best part really was the look on Kristol's face. It really told the whole story. Kristol believes in his heart that the GOP is going to lose big.

We can only hope. He has quite a mess to clean up left by the idiots driving now. I think the first thing they should do is dig the writ of habeas corpus out of the trash. And restore the Constitution.

He'll make things worse. He's reinstate the failed policies of President Carter. And his speech was a bunch of cotton candy.

This is a great day for Obama, but the Democrats just shelved the person who more people actually went to the polls to vote for, so that they can pat themselves on the back for being so "forward thinking and enlightened."

STUPID!!!!

Obama isn't going to win in November.

I dont care for either candidate, but McCain will be the next president.

There were many candidates that the Democrats could have chosen who would have defeated McCain, but instead they chose a guy who appealed to their desire to be portrayed as intellectually enlightened, instead of who can win.

This guy has so many reasons why it will be more than difficult to pull of a victory.

Hispanics don't like him.

Women are pissed.

White working class voters dont identify with him.

In a year when the democrats actually deserve to crush the republicans, The republicans elect the ONLY nominee who could win from their party, and the democrats elect someon who can't.

Ya gotta love liberal idealism. it will bring yet another national defeat.

Meanwhile, the House and Senate looks to be a bloodbath for the Republicans.

As much as I fear democrats with too much power, the republicans have to be punished for the last 8 years, and I am not talking about Bush.

They have become too comfortable with power, have become devoid of ideas and have had too many scandals.

I hope this will teach them a lesson, because whether you believe it or not, this country must have a strong, believable and trustworthy conservative party for any future success.

I used to be a republican, until Reagan's "true" conservative rhetoric and neo-con actions broke my brain. The GOP is now comprised of greedy ideologues.
I don't like the Dems much better. Pelosi, Boxer, and Streisand irk the crap out of me. I do really like Jay Rockefeller.

>>He's reinstate the failed policies of President Carter.<<

I'd prefer those to the failed policies of the Bush administration.

I didn't see much in this speech. As an independant I can't say really I want to vote for him. Other than the standard Democratic rhetoric I have yet to hear any official stance from this guy. I don't like McCain either, talk about a dittohead. This though illustrates to me why I am a Independant voter. The parties just don't speak to me. I'd really rather vote in Mickey Mouse at this point than to see either of these two people in the white house. I really hope they do a better job in laying out their platforms or I am going to have to start a "vote for none of the above" campaign.

He can't run for a 3rd term.
