Oh gosh, OK, here goes...

This was in October '05. I had arrived at the park on a Thursday, and it was midmorning: too early for there to be much of a crowd, so there weren't as many people milling about.

I was browsing around Main Street and went inside Disneyana. Nobody was at the register in the front of the store, and two female CMs were in the gallery area, heads bent toward each other, whispering and giggling. I don't remember where I was standing, but they definitely didn't know I was there.

A very timid-looking man came to the doorway, looking as if he didn't know whether he wanted to come inside or not. The CMs noticed him.

CM #1: Come on in! Don't be shy! We won't bite!

CM #2: *giggle* Except maybe your nipples! *tee hee*

He left the shop in a hurry.

I walked out of the store with a puzzled look on my face, and my traveling buddy asked me what was wrong. He didn't believe me. NOBODY believes me when I tell this story, but it definitely happened!

In hindsight, I wonder if the guy knew one or both of the women. I'll never know for sure, but I just can't see two DL CMs making that kind of comment to a total stranger!

One embarassing moment (sadly, I have more than one) happened back in the mid 1970's.

I was wearing a denim shirt that had an emroidered design on the back. (I SAID in was the 70's!)

I was waiting in line to ride Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. The line stretched out the front of the building. A woman walking past somehow snagged her ring on the back of my shirt. She didn't notice it at first, neither did I.

The design started disappearing as she walked away. Then people were stopping and trying to figure out where this thick embroidery thread across their necks and faces and arms was coming from, and I started feeling my shirt getting tugged. It was ridiculous. The woman's hand got jerked backward, she finally realized she was attached to me, several people between us trying to extract themselves from the situation.

LOL! Kar2oonMan, that had to be so funny! (Not for you....moment of silence for the 70's embroidered shirt that must have been SO boss) Those poor folks in line, feeling cobwebby things. No Mr Toad could've been wilder than that.

BlueDevil....I'm picturing a Don Knotts kind of a guy...it paints quite the picture! The CM's and Mr Chicken.

I was always amazed at what guests wore (or didn't wear) when in the parks. On the Jungle Cruise I saw it all...and I do mean I saw it ALL.

What was really something was the young (and older even) women who would try to grab my attention in unusual ways presumably to distract me from my spiel. I usually could keep a straight face and plug through like a professional...but once in a while I will admit that I might have been sidetracked.
