I would have to go with Eggs Benedict with strawberry creme crapes I had in South Beach, Miami.

South Beach is pretty amazing, by the way. Who's been there? They've just got row after row of restaurants with these INCREDIBLE, HUGE, TASTY looking breakfasts at very cheap prices (I'm thinging $4 to $5 in general).

Unfortunately, we weren't very hungry lol. We'd already eaten a little before getting off the ship, and it was late morning and we weren't *really* hungry BUT we were heading for a day tour and knew we "should" eat (you know what I mean...like 50/50)...so I didn't enjoy it quite as much as if I'd been totally famished, but still...

So, favorite breakfast experiences?

Eat At Joe's ... On Pacific Coast Highway in Redondo Beach - November 2006.

The place was recommended to us by a hotel bellman.

Popular with the locals'... Had to wait in lineoutside for over 30 minutes for a table.

Being a fan of spicy breakfasts to get my engine running, I ordered the Enchilada Omelet. OhmiGOODNESS! Real and most-excellent enchilada sauce... lots of nasty-good cheese and veggies and stuff. Served with warm flour tortillas. FRESH squeezed OJ and delish coffee.

South Beach eh? I'll have to pass on that one for now, you know, the kids and all...

In highschool the football players and cheerleaders used to gather for breakfast at the local Shoney's on Friday mornings. They had a breakfast bar to die for but it wasn't necessarily the food that made THIS particular breakfast the best ever.

My favorite Breakfast I have ever had in the whole of my life was in 1982, when I asked (my now wife) this cute little blonde curly headed girl to go out with me that night to the fair, ...and she said yes.

Heck, I barely remember what I ate...Grits, Eggs, Bacon, Hash Browns...etc. We lost our football game, as usual, but evidently I won something for life back then. Since then I have considered myself one lucky son of a ... gun. ;)

Thanksgiving at my house growing up, before we started going away for Thanksgiving weekend.

My mom would just have cereal for us each day for daily regular breakfast, sometimes with eggs once in a while.

But on Thanksgiving, my good God. Pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, hot chocolate, hot cider, toast, eggs, pretty much all of my favorite foods. And they were served on the best china with real silverware IN OUR DINING ROOM! The cider was warmed in my mom's pretty Princess House carafe, too.

Even the dog got pancakes that day.

Great, now I'm hungry just thinking about it.

Great thread, X-san! *bowing reverently*

I have one clear choice. In the spring of 1963, my Marine father was transferred to Hawaii and we lived there for three years. Some time during that first year we had breakfast at the Royal Hawaiian hotel at Waikiki.

Strawberry crepes. I've always called them strawberry pancakes since then, since that is how I ordered that day, but they were definitely crepes. The best I have ever had. The strawberries were sugared to perfection (no goopey fake syrupy crud) and there was real whipped cream.

I can taste that meal to this very day.

Mine would have to be during the visit LadyKluck and I made to Disneyland when we were pregnant. One of the mornings I woke up before everyone else and was STARVING. Having just gotten over weeks of morning (and afternoon and evening) sickness, I was ready to EAT!

I headed over to the park early and got the best cinnamon roll and iced mocha ever. Since wasn't supposed to have caffeine, I ordered decaf but they goofed and gave me a regular and I drank it anyway. It was heaven and later in the day (at the Meet the Preggos LP meet) I felt him kick for the first time! Must have been the extra caffeine!

Shoneys - oh man DVC_dad that killed me. My first trip EVER to Atlanta back in the early 80's. I had a peer with a very very thick Southern accent ask me if "I wanted to eat Shoney's." He repeated it several times causing my eyebrow to go up Maleficient style as I'm part hispanic. I did not know him very well at all so I was a bit amused but weirded out.

In spanish chonies are slang for panties.
Um, I'm not eating anyone's chonies.
