We are going to WDW in July/August and are using the dining plan. If we wanted to get an appetizer, could we use our Rewards card to pay for it and maybe gratuity? Has anyone ever done this? How about Disney Dollars? Any input would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can use your Disney Reward Card anywhere at WDW that takes credit cards. Unless the DDP has changed I thought the tip was included in the deal. The same goes for Disney Dollars. They work just like cash.
