choose to see your future without being able to change it

or

know everyone else's future and not be able to tell them?

I'm going seeing others' future. I can keep a secret. Of course some of that information might be painful to know but I'd rather know about other folks than myself.

I'd rather see my future.

That way I have time to deal with it. Of course seeing my future could be what shapes my future. If it looks good I might coast knowing I'll be alright, but that might cause my future to not be my future, but then I wouldn't have seen it, I'd have seen my life going down the toilet which would mean that I'd work harder which would mean that my life might get better, but then that wouldn't be my future. Maybe what I see in my future is a lie and then I would work harder and that would cause me to be a success? But then that wouldn't be my future, so I don't think so. Maybe if my future shows me failing and I worked hard and I still failed seeing my future could be what causes me to fail. Or maybe I would succeed despite myself?

I'd still rather have that than know when people will die and not be able to tell them. That would make me start to double think things and asked questions that I can't answer and would ultimately make me insane.

I wouldn't want that!!!

Probably see mine. I don't really like surprises for myself anyway. It would be hard to see my kids, husbands, sisters, etc. futures and not tell them.

Horrible! Knowing everyone's future, I'd probably be crying all the time at the tragedy; and I love surprises, so I don't want to know my own.

I think I'll just continue to chew on that bar of soap, alone on an island someplace...

I am going with my future because letting my guard down and getting blind-sided has caused me so much pain. Even if I could not change it; I could brace myself.
