<<< In response to post (5) >>>

What I didn't mention was after leaving the Venetian I boarded a coach without reading the sign properely and while I did end up at a ferry terminal it was in actual fact the wrong Terminal. So thats two of us who have ended up seeing parts of Macau we did not plan to see.

The Grand Lisboa is in the process of major expnsion work, which I guess is to get it ready for 21st century standards. Never ventured inside but its very close to the Wynn and other properties.

I look at Macau in the same way as many look at Hong Kong Disneyland to the other parks. If you been to Vegas you will find it a smaller scale version, but it has the potential to grow into something special.

<<< They no longer confiscate bags, and in particular cameras, at the door? >>>

Here is the interesting thing the Wynn and MGM Casino's did allow you to bring camera's though but do search you still but only in the casino areas. You are free to take and snap pictures in the rest of the hotel. The Venetian never bothered to check you, so I guess in this day and ege of Macau where guest want to take pictures of the various attractions and props, Macau too has to adapt and change its rules.

<<< Sounds great James, I really am looking forward to visiting Macau in a few years when it is further developed. Between the developments at Macau/HK and Dubai, after our last trip to the States, it is getting harder to justify going back all the time when there are so many new things to see elsewhere, and they are doing it better too it seems. >>>

Its true Asia is in the middle of some very big projects and many of them will be better than what can be found in America. The only draw to America at the moment is the weak dollar which many are taking advantage of here. I give the region a good 10 years and we will see a very differnt pattern to today.

<<< And oh my word, Man U get everywhere, even Macau! >>>

Yeah the club certainly does, its quite funny because I was recently watching a documentry on tv about the Venetian Macau and how the group due to being unable to advertise gambling to mainland China organised a football match involving Man U as a way around this.

<<< But why the tease about HKDL? >>>

I just want to explain to people that the report on the Hong Kong Disneyland park is coming. I have over 200 pictures but its not quite ready yet!

The first and only time I've been to the Lisboa was in 1996. At the security check before entering the casino (apparently to screen for weapons), they also noticed cameras. They didn't confiscate them, but did attach a sticker to our bags that had a picture of a camera and the red "circle-slash" symbol superimposed to remind you not to use it. Also, no shorts allowed, so we had to change in the restroom before entering (we had anticipated this and had brought long pants just in case).

Very nice pictures. The Cotai Strip really does seem like the younger offspring of Las Vegas.

Well thanks for taking the time to read and view the pictures Witches I only hope I was able to capture how amazing this small park is to visit. After reading back though the report I realise I never remarked enough on how good the Cast Members were and I may write up a quick follow up later on with things I have missed out.

That's so funny!

Amazing how these codes get imposed and for what reasons (if any...besides "tradition).

I remember asking SuperDry (or else some other LP folks) if there was some casino "dress code" in Vegas before I went there for the first time.

The answer from whomever (maybe SD?) was "as long as you're wearing your wallet, they don't give a crap what else you're wearing" lol.
