Glad you had a great time James. What you have written largely matches my expectation. I think my family and I would have a fantastic time. It is not enough of a draw by itself to get us out there, but if ever heading to Asia, we would be sure to make HK a stop over so we could visit it first hand.

Thanks for sharing James. I read the following:

"Sculptures of the Disney princesses and princes were set up in each room, as was some unique artwork. This is by far the best Disney themed Restaurant I have ever set foot in."

Do you mean full stop or for a counter service? Better than Walt's for the theming? Or Sci Fi Dine In, or even 50's Prime Time?

ORGOCH: Well, what I wanna' know's what kinda FROGS they got over there!!

ORWEN: And did you hear anything about what's going on in Adventureland, Malin? I mean, did you ask any cast members or overhear any secrets about all the work they're doing there?

I think you got it in one Dave, the park is worth a visit. Just not worth dedicating an entire vacation too. Like me you've also been to the Studios in Paris and despite its small size, your still able to make the most out of the experience.

<<< Do you mean full stop or for a counter service? Better than Walt's for the theming? Or Sci Fi Dine In, or even 50's Prime Time? >>>

Thats a good question, its certainly not the best themed restaurant out of all the Disney parks, but for Counter Service I think it is. Its got a lot of detail in the murals and for me I can see a lot of inspiration from DLRP Sleeping Beauty Castle walk though in the design. Also a fantastic selection of food available including Chinese and Western. If you fancy a quick counter service lunch I think this is the best place to eat.

<<< ORWEN: And did you hear anything about what's going on in Adventureland, Malin? I mean, did you ask any cast members or overhear any secrets about all the work they're doing there? >>>

Its funny because until you mention the Adventureland construction walls I never even thought to ask the Cast Members. But I will tell you what ever is going on behind the wall it looks like a huge project.

ORWEN: That's okay, Malin, duckling. Since I asked the question, us Cauldron girls have been hearing rumors that they're building an underpass under the train tracks so that guests can walk underneath to whatever else is going to go on the other side of the train tracks.

ORDDU: We've also heard a rumor that there may be some sort of temporary Haunted House being constructed on the other side of the train tracks for this upcoming Halloween.

ORWEN: Then there's the rumor about a site preparation for something BIG that hasn't been given the 'green light' just yet.

ORDDU: Either way, they really need to get ready for some serious expansions.

ORGOCH: Got gover'ment's permission?

Very fascinating report...it's not likely I'll ever get to go, so I appreciated hearing your insights.

Is it just me (or the camera angle) or is there something "off" about Mickey's floral face by the railroad station?

Hey Malin, haven't seen the photos yet just wanted to say thanks for posting your TR.

When I went to the Venetian, it had only been open for 3 weeks so maybe my experience then is different from how they operate now that some time has passed. They didn't make me check my camera at the front, but when I was on the Casino floor I asked if it was ok to take pictures and they said not in the Casino itself, but only in the shopping mall.

I loved Macau even more than HK and would visit there again if I ever return.

Witches if I was a betting man I would certainly be more in favour to lean it towards a new attraction and not something tempory. The work looks to much for it to only be a tempory attraction for Halloween. Plus the construction has been going on since May after Small World stopped so it seems maybe Disney and the Hong Kong Govement are working on opening one attraction up at a time. I expect when the time is right all will be annouced but the park is being quiet about something here. If it ends up being the Haunted Mansion or Pirates I would be back over to Hong Kong very quickly, because I loved the job done on Its A Small World.

<<< Is it just me (or the camera angle) or is there something "off" about Mickey's floral face by the railroad station? >>>

I think its the camera angle, due to so many guest wanting to have pictures taken of the Mickey floral and train station, I ended up having to take a picture slightly to the left to not get anyones heads in the way.

<<< When I went to the Venetian, it had only been open for 3 weeks so maybe my experience then is different from how they operate now that some time has passed. I think the rules depend on what Casino your in. The Venetian certainly was not strict when it came to what you wore or took inside the casino. MGM and Wynn did search you but still allowed you access. I also spotted many wearing shorts so I think Macau is in the process of change as there adapt to western policys.

<<< I loved Macau even more than HK and would visit there again if I ever return. >>>

When I some day return to Hong Kong I'm going to dedicate a couple of days to Macau. Hopely by than areas like Studio City on the Cotai Strip will be opened and I'd love to see some of the old parts of town like the forts.

Just a quick update that I havn't forgotten about finishing the Trip Report just been kind of sidetracked lately with work related matters. I'm hoping to post the next part within the next 24 hours, which will include my impressions of the Hong Kong Harbour Cruise, trip to the Peak and the History Museum.

Also coming soon will be my Hong Kong pictures and a follow up on the trip report I posted over at hkdlsource.
