I've just been looking up the DLRP website for hotel prices and I can't believe that prices start from £244 for a 1 night stay at the Disneyland Hotel. Now I love the Resort but that figure sounds absolutely insane. And is not worth the price to stay at this hotel. Prices for the New York Hotel only start at £164, while my perfered option the Santa Fe is just £111 per night. With cheaper options available who actually out of interest stays at the DLH for those high prices?

Well Malin, we looked into it and are staying at the HNY this August. The Holiday Inn, Kyriad and all the others have put their prices up so much, that it is actually cheaper to stay in a Disney hotel now if your are more than 3 people (which we are).

So 5 nights at the New York is working out at £806. Thankfully the Eurotunnel is free on Tesco's points, and they are still doing free kids APs.

I guess its a sign of how well bookings have been this year. Attendance does well and we all suffer by having to pay more. I'm considering a break myself but will be spending a bit less by doing 4 nights at the Santa Fe. As we only use the room to sleep in I don't see the point to splash out on an expensive hotel. But I guess that depends on what extras you want like swimming pool etc.

The Hotel New York is a lot cheaper than the prices being offered for the DLH, and I think you made a wise choice Dave. Good location and comes with most of the features that are found at the DLH too.

My potential December trip is definitely off, even with the extra night free, it is going to be £448 for 3 nights in the Sequoia, once we add on flights and transfers, then the food other than breakfast, it's going to be just too much more than I wanted to spend this trip..

Well I've just booked for 4 nights at the Santa Fe in November for only £237, which I think is an absolute bargain. Granted the Santa Fe has no swimming pool available and is a bit further away from the parks than the others but you can't go wrong for the price.

Malin, that certainly is a great price, unfortunately I will be sunning it in Jamaica in November ;)

My sister just booked Sequoia Lodge in early December for 4 nights, costing approx 700Euro. She's pretty happy with the rate.

I got a quote for 4 rooms for 3 nights in August and it was about £100 dearer than the Kyriad (around £1300)!!!
