Wow.... let me see...how do I start this report... I have learned that booking in the first part of June has it's benefits and it's downfalls. The room rate at Hojos was great. The room and the staff met all my expectations. We are not pool users, so that was not an issue. We did have the 7th floor premium room. That was nice, except the sun does get a little bright in the morning. Just put a pillow over your head and snore some more! The downfall of that time is the field trips from the many schools. The park was flooded with kids around middle school age. Some were very nice, and others were rude. That goes with the territory..I work in a school, I know. And we got caught up in a grad nite. We did have to leave the park early, but I was happy to see that seniors have a safe place to have fun and make lasting memories.

Now, for the best part of Disneyland this time.... We did the Walk in Walt footsteps tour. It was great! I highly recommend this for adults. I don't think kids would like it very much. We are regulars to the park and have never done it until now. Our tour guide, Claudia was very sweet and gave an excellent tour. We did get to ride in the special Lillybelle Caboose. Wow, that was a treat! And we saw the lobby of Club 33. And I won't reveal the special treat at the Tiki Room.... It was a very good morning capped by a good lunch...

We had a good time and the crowds were not that bad. The longest wait was for Tower of Terror. Turns out they were not running all the elevators..We found Nemo twice! We did take a day off and made our way into Santa Monica and visited the gravesites of famous movie stars. Marilyn Monroe, Rodney Dangerfield, Jack Lemmon, Dean Martin, and many more. We know that they are always "in". We visited Walt's grave a few years ago. We are into that kind of stuff...Hope you don't think we are tooo weird...hehe

Now, I am looking forward to our next trip to Disneyland,,,Just a short 2 day one to meet friends who have an all expense paid vacation in the Grand Cal. Hotel. WE will be back at Hojos... I can't wait! Disneyland holds such a special place in a lot of LPers and I am no exeption. Love that Disney magic!!!

Pollyana! Welcome back, kiddo! Sounds like you had a great time and I am SO glad you took the Walt's tour! Isn't it awesome? Yeah, the Tiki Room and Lily Belle were special little touches, not to mention Club 33's lobby!

I thought of you every single day, wondering what it was that you were up to. What attraction you were experiencing....and for shame. Not one. Mention. Of. The. Billies.

(they are going to disown you as number one fan!)

Glad you had fun, Pollyanna. We were there this weekend also, and yes, Monday was so crowded with a lot of teens. Saturday was our lightest day and we were able to ride everything with fast passes, without standing in line more than 20 minutes. Sunday morning was very light too, so it was good.
Did you find Monday's crowds just unbearable? I couldn't wait to leave, couldn't even get a cup of ice water because the lines at all the restaurants were out the doors!

The tour sounds fun. I'd like to try one someday.

DyGDisney: are you going to dish and share your trip, too?

Hmmm, I don't usually because it seems most people don't read the trip reports. And, it's a lot of typing if people aren't going to read it!

Welcome back Pollyana!! You were missed. It looks like you had a great time. The next time I plan a trip it will include the Walk in Walt Footsteps tour.

I wish I could do it when I go in the next couple of weeks but that trip is so packed with so many library conference activities I don't think I can fit anything else in.
