P13-R?

You mean PG13 or something?

I didn't realize you were under aged. So young to be married too! Just get an older sibling or friend to go in with you, the movie guy won't care. ;)

Looks interesting from the trailer. It appears that he's addressing religion in general, rather than any one particular religion.

"From The Studio That Brought You 'Farenheit 451'"

"From The Director of 'Borat'"

Uhhhhhhh...

Why do I suspect that this movie will be more of an exercise in self-aggrandizement than a balanced, critical examination of the alleged issue?

He actually interviewed a polygamist woman I know here in Salt Lake. She said he was very polite and nice throughout. I wonder if that'll come across in the movie.

I love Bill Maher and I'll be in line for the first showing, but I suspect this will be a broad indictment of superficial religion. I'm as quick as anyone to jump on what I see as the hypocrisy of religion and the "my god is better than your god" crowd. But that's not religion to everybody and I think any serious treatment of religion also has to acknowledge those more thoughtful people who view the Bible and religious teachings more metaphorically to lead better lives. Somehow I think Maher ignores that group.

Put another way, there's a HUGE difference between certain organized religions and God in general. It's quite possible for someone to be a complete believer in God and to lead a better life because of it yet at the same time realize how much damage many of the organized religions have caused.
