(or folks who have sent pics to LP Live or do so on a regular basis)

Ok I have a Samsung A437 through AT&T (the provider probably doesn't matter though), my friend who let me get it on his plan, says he thinks this one probably has only a 2 pixel camera or something.

I do hopefully plan to visit DL again soon and this was one of the main reasons I wanted a camera phone. So I do plan to take pics when I'm there, but I was wondering what kind of camera phones do you guys use? I'm definately going to keep this one for now, but I was just curious.

Thanks!

I've used the camera phone from a razr, and they came out pretty good.

I have a Krzr right now, and while I can't send pics to LP live (Sprint won't let me -- something stupid with Sprint, don't know what), it takes pretty good pics.

I'm sure you'll be fine with the camera you use. Try it out, though..take a pic of something Disney in your house, and send it to LP Live. :)

I am presently using a Verizon LG with a 1.3 megapixel camera.

Ahh. Aw that stinks, Pirate Princess, about Sprint :( I saw something on there though about them regarding which phones or something:

"What types of cell phones work with LP Live?

LP Live should work with any cell phone that sends pictures in JPG format as attachments. LP Live also works with the proprietary format used by Sprint PCS."

Yeah I did read something about being able to take a test picture, but I guess they don't have to be live? I do have some Disney things in my room worth sharing. One very worth sharing. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Wow, megapixel huh? Kewl. Thanks for sharing so far!

I'm curious if it's possible to upgrade your camera's pixels from online like via download?

I have no clue...I generally just use my camera to snap pics of my kids when I've forgotten my digital

Since I can't use my camera phone to send pics to LP live, when I'm at the meet on the 17th, I'll just send them to my blog. I can post directly to that from my phone with no problem!

Someone not at DL that day can keep others up to date on it :P

We did receive your test, DJ and it looked fine. If you camera has a move for higher resolution, that would be even better (the pic you sent was very small, not 1.3 megapixel) but even as is it's fine.

Doobie.

Thank you, Doobie and thank you for the email verification too.

I did discover last night though when taking pictures of the one I sent, that when I was pressing the button to take picture, it would immediately blur at that second. So I thought about trying to press it gently and slowly and they started to come out much better. As I could see the image not blurring when I was pressing the button.

>> If you camera has a move for higher resolution <<

Hmmm. Not sure I understand. Please explain :) Ya know actually I think about that, it's strange. The pictures I took of the Disney object last night, came out small - but I have other pictures on my phone I've taken that fill up the little screen at normal size. I also sent some of them to my email and was looking at them last night. The one I took outside the mall was the biggest, I don't know why though.

Oh and if you're wondering what exactly the image I sent was, well you could probably tell it was the SBC, but it was a Thomas Kincade painting of the SBC during the 50th Anniversary of Disneyland. My Dad and I may plan to visit the park as early as Monday or Tuesday, I have to check my blockout days but it should be good. But maybe I'll try sending one then.

Heheh, camera phones. Never leave home without 'em.

I think I found what Doobie was talking about on my phone. I went to Menu, Settings, Set Applications, Camera Settings and Function. From there I can adjust Size, Quality, Viewfinder Mode, Scene Program, Exposure Metering and White Balance.

I was researching the details on my phone from AT&T's website and found mine has a VGA. Didn't say much else about the pixels so I looked up what a VGA was on Answers.com and that lead me to looking up the full story on pixels and megapixels. Turns out the VGA has a 0.3 megapixel which is a 640 x 480 resolution. While the SXGA has 1.3 megapixels which is a resolution of 1280 x 1024.

Ok I fixed the problem awhile ago. The size was set on 128 x 160 and I re-adjusted it to 640 x 480. That and I set the White Balance to Auto for the lighting I think.

Doobie, I took another picture of the same image, looks better this time. Is it ok to send this as a one time only 2nd test? If not thats ok. At least I should be able to take much better pics now if and when I go to DL next week.

Thanks again!

I use an iPhone, and it seems to work well.

I'll be happy to send in some LP meet pix on 7/17.
