Sorry, I left out a word. Can we get free ice and water at disneyland food sites like we did at disney world?

yes.

Just go to any counter service that has fountain drinks, whether self serve (like Redd Rocketts) or not, and ask for ice water.

Usually, if they serve you, they'll put it in a tiny kids cup. But, if you ask for a big cup, they will usually give it. Also, if you have your own water bottles, they may fill it up for you, otherwise, keep the paper cup and just ask them to refill it so that you're not wasting cups every time to refill yours. (did that make sense?)

Usually, I'll get ice water with every meal, asking them to fill up the cup with ice, so that it lasts longer.

Or at Pizza Port and Rancho Z and any other place in which you fill your own drink, walk in get an ice water w/ the ice to your likeing. Walk out with the lid off, showing the cashier that you only have ice water and no probs, they wave you through. At these places you can also get one free refill with a reciept showing you bought a soda. I think I have had someone ask me for a reciept once, I've never had anyone mark the reciept or question if I was on my 3rd or 4th refill.

Don't waste money on a water bottle in the park if you are planning to refill it with tap water, it costs waaaaaay too much. Just bring your own, refillable bottle, or get a cup of ice water. They are always happy to give a cup of ice water when we ask (except at the coffee cart, they said they inventory the cups :/ ). We used to carry around 4 bottles of water in our backpack, then found out you can just get a cup of icewater wherever. Boy, did that save a lot of backpack weight!!!

I bring a bottle of frozen water and drink it as it thaws. When there's a little room in it I'll continuously fill it with water. It usually lasts until the evening when it isn't hot anymore. The drinking fountain water isn't GREAT but it beats being dehydrated when you get home.

Last month when were at Rancho they had changed the soda machines, you could still get the cup and ice but the little water tab was gone. They directed us to the water in the dining courtyard. Another lady and I were looking at each other like "uh, oh", it was pretty funny :) Actually on a hot day, I'm happy with just the ice ;)

Plaza still had the water tab on the soda machines but the "to go" cups are at the cashier counter. Just FYI :) We didn't ask at the other serve yourself.

We got water at Plaza and Pizza Port from the tabs. Are they trying to discourage people from getting free water? I mean, come on, all the food is priced on the high side, I'm sure we could get free water.

We could get free water at Rancho, just not from the indoor dispenser. At Rancho they have cups and a water faucet spigot thing in the dining area. It was OK to get the cup and ice inside just no filtered water available.
