Well, it is the SENIOR bosses, which is the Chief Executive Officer, the Board of Directors and their staff including marketing. They are in charge of the company and make the final decisions. And they are all using the "Toy Story Mania!" name instead for the longer version. Another example, Wal*Mart is changing its name to just Walmart. What is the official name, and who decided it??? 64	lesmisfan Fri 7/4/2008 12:31p	yeah but they saying toy story mania to shorten it because they are to lazy to call it by the proper name. Just like regualr guests just call finding nemo submarine voyage, finding nemo or the subs and buzz light year astro blasters is just called the buzz light year ride most of the times, doesn't mean that is its officail name. the officail name is the name the sign infront of the attraction says it is.

DCA, is it Disney's California Adventure or Disney's California Adventure Park? I have the Noon news on here in SoCal, KCAL Channel 9. 66	Dabob2 Fri 7/4/2008 1:14p	You can pursue this line of reasoning till the cows come home, but that pesky sign at the front of the attraction will always contradict you and tell the real story. Simple as that. That, and the pesky potato.
67	Darkbeer Fri 7/4/2008 1:54p	But the MESSAGE that Disney is delivering to the public is "Toy Story Mania!", and clearly does NOT use Toy Story Midway Mania! until you get to the park. And even then, Disney went out of its way at the 2 Main Press Events to make sure all the signage said "Toy Story Mania!", and that the invited Media used the TSM! name. ALL the commercials advertising the attraction have just ONE name, "Toy Story Mania!", heck even many of the signs at the parks say "Toy Story Mania!", for example, the large sign on each of the 8 ticket booths in the Main Entrance Plaza at the DLR. So to Corporate and its sub-division, the official name is "Toy Story Mania!", and that is THE name that is supposed to be used. So what, a talking Potato sings a song, but I have never heard him say "Toy Story Midway Mania!". Is the Pirates of the Caribbean official name "Pirate's Life for Me?" because the Pirates sing it in the ride? Is the official name of "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" really "The Hollywood Tower Hotel"?

And to anyone with a pair of eyes in their head who can read the sign at the actual freaking attraction, the name is "Toy Story Midway Mania." <So what, a talking Potato sings a song, but I have never heard him say "Toy Story Midway Mania!". > He says we should come and ride "Midway Mania." It's the "Toy Story" part that is essentially parenthetical. Not to Marketing of course.

70	lesmisfan Sat 7/5/2008 2:18p	and the only reason they had all those signs and advertisments was because of disney marketing. Marketing either didn't know or completely ignored the fact that it was to be called Midway Mania. Also disney worlds i believe was to be called toy story mania and wanted disneyland to change theirs a well since all advertising was going to say toy story mania and it was going to save money not to print midway on it, at least that is my guess. But then disney world changed their minds and went with the name of Midway Mania instead so what we ended up with is a huge big mess of what name is it?
