I had to work the day we left but only till 12:00pm. Then we got in the car to make the 2 and a half hour drive to Sacramento. It was myself, son Brandon 22, daughter Bree 18 and son Logan 9. We found out that Bree's car air conditioning no longer worked, at least it wasn't that hot. We got to my brother's house around 7:00pm. We got up the next morning and had breakfast Logan went swimming. Our plane didn't leave till 1:30pm. We got to the airport and flew southwest. Their check-in was really fast. We stopped in Vegas. Brandon won $80.00. Then got to Orlando at 12:ooam. Our cab ride to the fairfeild was a little scary cause the driver was falling asleep! We kept talking to him. Got to the fairfeild, our room was a little musty smelling. But it was fine other than that. With the 3 hour time change, we didn't start our first day till 12:00pm. I woke up 2 hours before the kids, so went and had breakfast, then sat by the pool and relaxed. We took the hotel Shuttle over to Universal Studios. Universal studios was not that big. We saw the Sherk 3-d show. It was good. Your chair moved too. We walked the streets and saw Lucy and Ricky drive down the street. The Lucy store was neat. There was a part that had stuff from the show. Like costumes, Jewelery, shoes and lots of pictures. Brandon And Bree went on the Mummy ride. They liked it. We went on Jaws. I have to say I think it is very outdated. It didn't even scare little kids on the ride they laughed. Twister was pretty good. Terminator was okay. We saw the Simpsons, Bullwinkle, Fiona and Shaggy and Scooby doo. I got a piture of Bree with Marilyn Monroe together and they blew a kiss. Turned out relly cute. We went on the Simpson ride. That was a 70 min. wait. The lady behind us was really loud. She kept saying "I'm so hot, I need a fan." Then she would tell people to move. The ride was cool. We liked it. We went on E.T. That was okay it wasn't great. When we got off the ride it was pouring down rain! This one lady saw it and said, "Oh hell no." and walked back. We waited for a little while, then put our ponchos on and made a run for it. There were big puddles everywhere. Bree was just laughing and splashing me with the puddles so we had fun doing that at least. When we first got to the park Brandon thought we wouldn't need the backpack with the ponchos. Then when it rained like that I asked him if he still thought that. We got wet but the ponchos helped alot. We walked around awhile went to some stores, then headed back to our hotel. The bus system was not as good as disney's. They were every hour and didn't start till 4:55pm. Then had a 2 hour gap between 4:55 and 6:55. We saw a Mc Donalds when we were on the bus and it was walking distance to our hotel so we went there for dinner. This Mc Donalds was big! It was on Sand Lake st. They had pizza, taco salad, quesadias, sandwiches, waffle cones, caks, pies and wraps. We couldn't believe it. It was 2 story and they had an arcade and a playgrond upstairs. Logan loved it. They had a small store and an aquarium. It was really cool. The food was good too. After that we went back to the hotel and went swimming. The pool was nice and clean and there wasn't that many people. The hot tub was nice too. We had a fun first day.

I kept getting your two son's ages mixed up and thought the younger one won big in Vegas and the older one enjoyed the playground at McDonalds. LOL! ;o)

Sounds like a great start to your trip!
