My daughter and I have always wanted to visit DW during Christmas. I work for the school system where I live and she is just starting college so really the only time we have is during school holidays. It looks like for the next two years we will have two days before Christmas and the week after Christmas off. We would probably go for 6 nights. Would you recommend going during this time? How crowded can we expect it to be? Thank you in advance for your help.

Go as early in month as you can go. The days from Christmas Day to New Year's Eve will be VERY VERY busy, a few of WDW's very busiest days. There will be LOTS of people like you, who can only go when school is out.

On the other hand the hours will be long, and there will be lots of special events, like the Christmas Parade and the lights in the Studios and everything else. So it's certainly possible to enjoy yourself. The more crowded it is the more neccessary it will be for you to plan well so you don't spend your entire vacation standing in a line.

It will be very busy like stated above. I went from Dec 26th-Jan1 of 06 and we were standing in line to just walk.

A very large group of us were walking to Splach Mt. And all of the sudden we stoped walking. the man behind me said hay why did you stop? I truned and said,: Well the person in frount of me stoped and the person in frount of them stoped and so on and so on. He was not to pleased.

I guess what I'm trying to say is expect lots of people, some grumpy some not. Enjoy the Christmas decor and have a good time.
