2	Elderp Mon 6/23/2008 10:01a	I don't think I will be working in Japan anytime soon. The lowest waist size I have had as an adult is 38.
3	SuperDry Mon 6/23/2008 11:09a	That brings up a good point - do they have different norms for foreigners? I would think so, as the "average" western foreigner is larger than the average Japanese, even setting aside the overweight issue.
4	DyGDisney Mon 6/23/2008 12:40p	I saw this the other day. Our national diabetes association (or whatever it is) her in the U.S. says the maximum healthy waist size for men is like 38 inches, but over there it was, what, 33.5? And for women here in the U.S. it's smaller than for Japanese women (which surprised me a lot). So that's a good point, are they measuring non-natives who live there, and if so, do they have a different max size?
