The fires are miles and miles away, but with no wind, it just sits there. We dont have to evacuate this time, with the humbolt fire we were on alert, and they closed the only 3 roads into town, and I was out of town at my parents. When I was going to go home, they closed the roads. So I had to stay at my parents for 2 days until they opened the roads again.

If the smoke smell is still outside, it's probably going to keep seeping in no matter what you do. I think masking the odor with candles or whatever is the only thing you can do, for now.

I have to go check where the fires are... I noticed that weird orange-y light when the sun came up this morning...

I finally found something that would mask the smoke smell. My yankee coffee candle. Its so strong, its over powering, but it works!
