<<< Animals will never be added to HKDL nor should they. They have no place at an MK style park. >>>

The Adventureland inside Hong Kong Disneyland is like no other found in any of the other Magic Kingdom style parks, so I say throw out the rule book and turn this land into a mini Animal Kingdom. The theming like we've already discussed comes directly from Disney's Animal Kingdom as does the Lion King show. Having a few animal exhibits would in my opinion enhance the area.

<<< I totally disagree. I can see where people might get this idea with the recent additions of Nemo and Everest. But a visit to DAK is what one makes of it. If one is only interested in riding rides, I can see that person getting through the park in three hours even with Everest. >>>

I agree that there is more to Disney's Animal Kingdom than just attractions and shows, which is why I feel the park has lost what it stands for. I am not knocking recent additions like Expedition Everest or the Finding Nemo Musical, which both look like outstanding attractions, but I kind of wish the focas was put back on the Animal exhibits. It seems to me quite a few guest skip these amazing exhibits in favour of wanting to ride attractions all day long. Also when you read or hear about future expansion for this park it always involves new light parades or Beastly Kingdom. Reason why I feel the park has lost its way.

<<< The place is so much more .. and then some. >>>

Disney's Animal Kingdom is my favourite park out of all the Disney parks including TDS. I completely agree with that!

ORDDU: If HKDL's Adventureland didn't already have a Jungle Cruise with fake, animatronic animals, my sisters and I would agree with you, Malin, dear. But the way it is, having real animals in the park would only compete with the animatronic versions and serve to render them meaningless. A Magic Kingdom style park is primarily for the purpose of suspending disbelief so that guests can indulge in the pleasure of using their imaginations--filling in some of their own blanks, so to speak. In any case, we seriously doubt the present management over there has any interest in spending the necessary funds to make such a venture possible.
