I've heard that one person, after being scratched by the branch that didn't hit anybody, had a mark under their left ear that resembled a mickey head.

There is every likelihood photos will be offered on e-bay.

>>Too bad it wasn't DCA...I could just imagine the "did it make a sound?" jokes we could've come up with! :p<<

LMAO!

<<Must be a slow news day to report this lol, big deal.>>

I thought that too at first, but the link DB gave now has a hi-res photo and this wasn't just some small tree branch about 4 feet long. The photo shows that this was a large branch and if someone had been right below it or in the wrong place they could've been seriously hurt or even killed. Granted, that still may not qualify as "news" since no one was hurt, but the branch is at least 25 or 30 feet long with several other branches attached to it.

Here's a link directly to the photo:

WOW... that's a BIG branch. I was picturing a 5 or 6 footer. Good thing no one was under it!!

Luckily the majority of the weight was still being held up by the tree. The branch was still attached and the heavy sections of the branch were still a good distance up.

If anything people standing under it would had been scratch badly but i am guessing the sound of the branch breaking would had made people react to at least move out of the way.

If it had caused some problem i would think it would be newsworthy but sinc eit did not cause any problems it really was not.

The media just happened to be there due to the picketing from one of the unions

Well I know I am going to sue and I wasn't even there. I am now so traumatized I will not be able to go by a tree and it is all Disneys fault. I think a lifetime pass to all of their parks, hotel, and transportaion might help. Think they will go for it?

Well, that would be cheaper than keeping all of those lawyers on retainer!!
