The latest rumour is that the Lion King Show at Disneyland Paris is about to come to an end. Some say its end will be as soon as September, while others speculate its going to become a seasonal offering like Tarzan. So if your in the parks this Summer you may want to check this show out!

A great show but does not live up to the circular attraction at WDW, besides its in the wrong place anyway, should of seen it coming when they took the animal sculptures from outside. The show deserves a permanent theatre maybe over in adventure land.

WALL E may get a show here in the future probably after the winter season.

Really, I feel the other way around. I think the one in WDW feels like a glorified pep rally, whereas the DLP version is Broadway standard.

^^Yep. I agree with Dave.

I think I've seen the show 4-5 times now at DLP and it is amazing. A highlight, although last time people were taking flash pics the whole show (which had never happened before and was quite annoying).

The DAK show is OK. But I'd not say it's anything better than typical theme park entertainment.

DLP's is far better.

The latest I've heard is it will go seasonal in 2009.

<<< A great show but does not live up to the circular attraction at WDW >>>

I'm not even going to get into this argument because in my opinion both shows are amazing.

By the way the latest talk is that while the Lion King Show is going, it will be replaced by new entertainment for the up coming Mickey Mouse 80th celebration that will follow on from the 15th Anniversary.

It is a fantastic show, but I'm not too disappointed. Lion King shows have been done to death and it didn't sit comfortably in Discoveryland.

However, if it's going to be open seasonally that implies that it won't be replaced meaning that there will be days with no show at all and that's not good.

A Wall*E show using the "living characters" would be cool!!!

I am with UKFAN here. I am ok with the Lk going if replaced with something of quality. I loved Rock Shock, BatB, Mulan (my fav in this venue) and the LK. I thought while the 10th Anniversary show was cute, it was a waste for such a great venue.

If LK leaves, I hope a quality production comes in. If it just goes dark, well then that is a huge waste.

ever hopeful

davewasbaloo, trust me: Videopolis is anything but a great venue. It's way too small for a theater and quite challenging crowd control-wise...

True, but I was refering to the sound and lighting capabilities which were state of the art. And believe me, it's a dream compared to the Hyperion theatre at DCA.
