| DyGDisney Sat 6/28/2008 6:33p | I can't imagine what the other boys who were with him are going through, I mean, how do you deal with seeing something like that happen?
How awful..... And yes, where was the adult supervision?? |

| trekkeruss Sat 6/28/2008 7:13p | Unfortunately, you can't supervise children 100% of the time, so even though this tragedy may have been prevented, there are always going to be similar or at least other tragedies, because kids do dangerous things. |

| brotherdave Sat 6/28/2008 7:30p | What a horrible, but needlessly stupid tragedy to occur. My heart goes out to the family and all who had witnessed it.
It's also not the first fatality like this to occur with this same coaster (Batman: The Ride) at Six Flags Over Georgia. A park employee was also killed in a similar fashion a few years ago, though not decapitated. He was trying to retrieve a lost object when struck by a girl's leg who was riding the coaster. The girl suffered a serious leg fracture from the incident while the worker died later at the hospital. That was truly an accident by a mistake made by the employee. Today's incident was just a purel stupid act by a teenager who definitely should have known better. Unfortunately, he paid the ultimate price for his lack of judgement. I just hope that the media doesn't try to spin this as an 'Are amusement rides really safe?' news piece. Also, I bet it won't be long before we hear a negligence and/or 'wrongful death' lawsuit brought up against the park, even though it appears that they are not really at fault in this case. |

| gottaluvdavillains Sat 6/28/2008 8:10p | The Great America incident ended in a wrongful death case... The guy climbed 2 fences to retrieve his wifes hat - was hit by a girl on the Top Gun ride... The basis for the suite - the signs were in English and he could only read Spanish! The parks settled and now the signs are multi-languaged |

| Inspector 57 Sat 6/28/2008 8:45p | "Six Flags officials said they didn't know why the unidentified 17-year-old from Columbia, S.C. scaled two six-foot fences and passed signs that said the restricted area was both off-limits and dangerous to visitors, spokeswoman Hela Sheth said in a news release."
<<Thin the herd.>>
Indeed.
If anything, the park should be able to sue the family and/or the church.
