Hi everyone, just wanted to share a little piece of history that I got to experience this weekend.

I was at the park on Sunday and when I was leaving and walking to my truck I had to pass through the Pinocchio parking lot and lo and behold, there sat one of the original Disneyland diesel trams. It was so cute and if I had a hitch on my truck I would have been tempted to tow it away.

Here's the link to the photo's I took:

If the link doesn't work try copy and past

Ah yes, I remember it well.
It's so funny because I really miss the Disneyland of my childhood, the DLHotel of my childhood, the old trams, the old marquis...... These are the things I picture when I picture it in my head, but when I arrive at DL, they are no longer there. Kinda sad.

You're pictures are really nice. What type of camera do you use??

Hi DyG, thanks, I use a Canon PowerShot A570, I love Canon and this little guy is a workhorse.

I got so excited when I saw the old diesel tram. When I first started going to Disneyland, my son was a little guy, that is one of the first things you'd smell when you got out of your car in the parking lot, the diesel from the tram. Good memories.

Thanks STiL, my son has tried to teach me a little of what he knows, he has almost 6000 photos on Flickr.

I just love being able to set my photo program to slideshow and set back and get all sentimental about Disneyland.

I love my Canon too, but it's a 35mm. I have yet to buy a digital camera because the one I want it so expensive. But yours takes such nice pictures, at an affordable price! I may look into getting one of those.

DyG, my son has the really nice Canon digital cameras, he started with the Rebel XT and that takes great pictures and then went a couple of steps up to a Canon EOS 40D. Would love to get my hands on those.

But for recreational shooting the A570 is a great little camera, I got mine in March for a really decent price. I think you'd like it alot. Great for trips to Disneyland!

Thanks for the pictures. Question, where is that pirate you took a picture of at?

Yea DyGDisney! Someone else who still uses 35mm! I have a Cannon also, love the look of film and can't afford a quality digital camera - all that to say, llanatoye, your pictures are beautiful!
