Hi everyone, just got back from Disneyland last night & thought I would let you know all the highlights and lowlights. First off, we flew out of Seattle on Tuesday morn. and arrived at Long Beach airport.

Long Beach airport - great airport, very small but quick and easy. The only thing is that if you carry on your luggage you have to carry it out on the tarmac to the plane which can be a hassle if you have small children or elderly with you.

Taxi from Longbeach airport - Quick and easy. Cost about $105 round trip to Anaheim. (That included $5 tip each way)

Carousel Inn - Nice motel, there was a problem with our reservations however I was supposed to have a club suite but ended up getting 2 rooms for the same price which was actually better for us because my 2 teen daughters preferred their own room! The breakfast was ok but I think I would recommend going a couple doors down to the mini-mart at Tropicana Inn and buying cereal, doughnuts, fruit etc. Location is great for this motel I would stay here again.

Fantasmic reserved seating - I think this is only worth the money if you have never seen the show before. The dessert box is ok but I think they should exchange the fancy desserts for more simpler fare (rice krispy treats, sliced apples & caramel, regular chocalate etc) My teens did not care for the desert box really and I did not either. I am glad I did the reserved seating but will not do it again.

Blue Bayou restaurant - If you have never eaten here you should try it once but I feel it is way overpriced for what you get and just not worth it for me.

Corn Dog (Red Wagon Mainstreet) - Awesome what more can I say!

Loaded baked potato soup (Carnation Cafe) - First time trying it. It was wonderful, we ended up having it twice during our stay.

Chimichanga - First time trying it & will never !!!!! have it again. All that was in it was beans and it was very dark almost to the point of being burnt. I should have requested my money back.

Bengal BBQ - Usually we have the bacon wrapped asparagus which is very good but this time we tried the chicken skewer, Did not care for it!

Nemo ride - Not worth waiting in line more than 10min. for unless you have small children they would like it.

Toy Story Mania - My favorite ride in Calif. Adventure, it is a lot of fun. We waited in line 70 min. one day.

Aladdin show in Calif. Advent. - Awesome, we saw it twice. Each time there was a different Genie. Both were very funny.

Billy Hill and the Hillbillies - Very good, we also saw them twice. Different people in both shows. Very funny

Knotts Berry Farm - teens loved it but not very much for older people to do if you do not like roller coasters.

Knotts Backyard BBQ - very good and well worth the money.

Bubba Gumps restaurant in Gardenwalk - Best meal of our stay and well worth the money. Only a couple block walk from our motel.

We had a great trip! The last 2 days was around 90 degrees. We went back to the hotel for a nap each day and went back to the parks when it cooled off a bit. I chose a hotel across the street so my teen daughters could stay in the park as long as they wanted and then have a short walk to our hotel well................ for some unknown reason they exited out the Downtown Disney exit and ended up walking the streets of Anaheim for 45min at 11pm!

Thanks for all your tips!

<<for some unknown reason they exited out the Downtown Disney exit and ended up walking the streets of Anaheim for 45min at 11pm!>> How scary!

Very nice report and I appreciate your opinions. You mentioned a couple of things I haven't tried yet. :)

Yes, I was pretty upset when they got to the motel & told me what happened. I am very thankful that it all turned out well. Thanks

Great report...you guys did everything we're planning to do in a couple weeks! :)

What was in the Fantasmic dessert box?? I've read it's cheese n crackers and some chocolates or something instead of the other tasty things you listed it should have had....just curious since we have ressies for a Sunday night Fantasmic next month.

Thanks again for sharing!

Thank you for sharing your trip. So glad that all-in-all you had a good time.
I agree with you on the Blue Bayou. We went a whole bunch of times between 2003 and 2005. I won't go back again now.
I don't wait more than 15 minutes for Nemo. I find the *alternate experience* to be satisfactory and no wait.
We did the Gallery Balcony for F! years ago. So happy we did it when we could.
Nice report.

Great report. That's for the tip on Toy Story Mania. We went to DW last month and missed it. We couldn't get fast passes (they were already all gone, and it was 11:ooam) and didn't wait in the 90 min. line. Going to DL in Dec. though so I'll check it out then.

Thanks for reading everyone, we really did have a wonderful trip. We went for my daughters high school graduation so probably will not be able to afford to go back for another 4 yrs when my other daughter graduates LOL but by then I will be able to see IASW since it was closed this time and also some new things which should be completed by then. Somewhere on another post I think it shows a picture of the dessert box for Fantasmic. It really is an awesome show and I am glad I did the reserved seating but for me the finances are just too tight to ever do it again. Also I stood in line for almost 2hrs to check in & watched people getting excellent spots early close to me and not paying the extra money. All in all it is worth it at least once.

I stayed at the Annabella one time and my daughter and her friend missed the last ART---they ended up walking back to the the Annabella..that nite..which if they would have come thru Downtown Disney way..it would have been okay, but of course they did not..they were both 15...
